"The face of the operation is Briatore (referred to exclusively in the film by his colleagues and angry, chanting detractors as "Flavio"), an anthropomorphic radish who spends most of his time at QPR plotting to fire all of the managers."
Former Michigan target Jimmie Swain to TCU
Jimmie's down with being a horned frog.
Jimmy's new in town. Jimmy doesn't really know anyone.
Not much of a surprise, deal was sealed once he saw their new horned frog statue.
The statue of the sugar smack frog made from solid gold.
Maybe he knew something we don't? Was he being slow played? Was there a better chance to start at TCU? I wish Jimmy all the best with his future.
The way Wesptphals recruitment went, i dont think his offer eas committable either.
Apparently the coaching staff thinks they have plenty of Jimmies, but need more Joes.
I dunno. Latest roster shows 4 Joes (Joe Bolden, Joe Kerridge, Joey Burzynski, and Joe Reynolds) and only one Jimmy (James Ross).
Seems like Jimmies should be a priority.
Were we still recruiting him after the Furbush commitment?
Isn't 3 LB's in this class more than enough taking into account all the other guys on the current roster?
Somewhat, yes, but both Kaleb Ringer and Antonio Poole have departed. If this class started off looking for two linebackers, it's reasonable that they would want two more at this point to replace Ringer/Poole.
Do we know this? With Winovich and Furbush (who are both better, IMO) Swain seemed like overkill to me.
Yes, we know this. I don't agree that both of those other guys are better, but that's beside the point.
Looking at Rivals, he had a decent offer list - aside from Michigan and TCU, it lists Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Stanford. According to the SpartanMag.com article linked at the bottom of the Rivals page, we were at least in his top five, along with Stanford, Oregon, Michigan State and, of course, TCU.
Is anyone having trouble accessing the main page here? I keep getting nginx errors... starting to freak me out.
you touch yourself...
I'm ok with that.
but fortunately I figured out that you can sneak in the backdoor via the board. It had been a rough 8 hours prior to now
Same here. I've been running scans and shit all day over here thinking it's on my end.
the BBQ was last weekend rather than this. Imagine the panic within the MGoBlogosphere if this would have happened at such an important point in the recruiting cycle.
Just on my phone, though, if i go thru the 'net. App is ok, and main computer is ok.
yes all day. I only was able to get in via a link on twitter mgoblog account. I just assumed Hoke signed the entire 2016 class today and it crashed the site but it appears to be the main page only.
Hey I was having the same problem. I just cleared my browser cache and it was completely fixed.
