Forcier on the bench is gut wrenching

I know... Denard Robinson is amazing... but don't forget how good Tate really is. Seeing him on the bench, especially in the 4th quarter, was gut wrenching. It really made me sad that the guy who gave us hope and kept us going last year now seemed to be forgotten this year. I was really disappointed to see Rich Rod not playing Forcier in the 4th quarter whena win was a forgone conclusion.

Today is about Denard Robinson. He played amazing ball and deserved to based on his hard work. Everyone who is a true fan of Michigan football should be thrilled and happy for him. Including Tate Forcier.

That was also my first reaction... feeling really bad for the kid.  But I agree with most everyone else - he needs a serious attitude adjustment, because we need him and we need him to be in it for THE TEAM THE TEAM THE TEAM and not just himself.

Tate showed some love to Denard as the team was leaving the field at the end of pregame warm-ups. Tate went up to Denard pulled him close and had words of encouragement.

Also at the end of pregame warm-ups the team was doing some type of running in a circle drill to get hyped up. I swear Devin Gardner's  feet barely hit the ground, the kid was on cloud 9.

It was sad to see the camera show him just sitting on the bench all alone, with the towel covering most of his face. It reminded me of when LT was in the AFC Championship and just sat on the bench pouting with his visor on.

It's a shame it had to come to this, but the fact is there are 3 very good quarterbacks that Rich Rod recruited, and he had to end up last. It sucks.

Good luck to him

I agree that he should have been on his feet "hootin' and hollerin'" for/with his team, BUT remember he is what, 19 years old and the 2009 starting QB at MICHIGAN?  I am sure it was tough to see DG replace DR and not to get any playing time in the 4th quarter.  HOWEVER, let's give the kid a chance to respond...

This is a huge learning curve for Tate.  Let him soak in this first non-start and non-PT game and who knows, he may become our biggest leader whether he's on the field or not!  Once he sorts through his emotions, he will have the opportunity to emerge as a true leader!
