Aside from the author being more in touch with something other than college sports (Michigan will "continue to spend more on scholarships than any team in the country"), this is a pretty good read for those interested in the money behind the TV deals. Given the explosion in recent MLB TV deals (See: Dodgers and Time Warner), when the new B1G Network deal comes through in the next couple of years, $8m coaches might become the new normal.

turns out they're off on the arrangement between the University and Harbaugh. The whole article is premised on Harbaugh making record money with everything insinuated going along with that.
