So the 109901 who bought tickets last year can't afford food, lodging, and fuel along with a 30 dollar ticket to see Michigan play? That's probably the cheapest weekend to see a Michigan game in forever.

I'm going to decline to pay $50 for certain tickets and I can walk to the game and get cheap-to-free food and booze at my tailgate.  I can understand why people wouldn't want to drop a few hundred dollars to see App St and Utah and whoever else.

If I had a ton of extra money to throw around, then sure I'd go.  But I have a very limited entertainment budget right now and I see little reason to spend it on App State.

What do you expect with the crappiest home schedule in years and a subpar product on the field?

The 2015 schedule will help even this out a bit, but as long as we're fielding 7-5 and 8-4 teams, you'll be seeing this every year.

The big house will sell out regardless of what 97.1 says. There are people that have waited a long time to get affordable season tickets. I like how the haters have built up some strange reality in their head where the big house will ever be empty. It won't happen. No matter what picture they paint there are people that will always want to be there.

I am ever so critical of the staff, because they haven't done well with our talent regardless of age excuses. There are young teams at every college once in awhile that don't suck that bad. We almost lost to some horrific teams last year, but I will still fly up and cheer for the players.

and the price is below the "official" price available through the UM ticket office, doesn't that mean that the athletic department is taking a financial hit by selling them for less on Stubhub?

Theorettically yes, but in a way: no. If the athletic department tries to sell them for less, that would lead me to believe the athletic department believes they have no chance of selling the ticket through their traditional route.

In that scenario, it would be better for the athletic department to get whatever they can on stubhub as opposed to having the tickets just sit there and leaving seats empty.

And that gets to the heart of the problem for me. It wasn't too long ago that the idea we'd struggle to sell every season ticket was literally inconceivable.

The introduction of the PSLs, relentless price increases on top of that, a few down years, and terrible home schedules have apparently done what was once thought impossible.

My triple game pack arrived yesterday, and I already sold my Miami (OH) tickets for $50/ticket. I was happy to take a small hit. I'll still get to see the Penn State and Maryland games, and depending on how we look, I may try to get to Northwestern this year as well.

...how much longer are we going to bash the Lloyd years? I would have thought the crater that is now Michigan football - basically being Purdue for going on 6 years and 2 coaches now - would have added some perspective to the Lloyd haters. I mean, lots of people bashed Bo when he was the coach but could step back after a few years and realize we had it pretty good with him. Since Lloyd left we have had 5 seasons in 6 years that are worse than he had in his entire career. I would kill for those years again.
