Submitted by MichiganPhotoRod on

The Margaret Dow Towsley Museum featuring the history of Michigan Football inside Schembechler Hall was recently re-opened to the public following a $9 million renovation.

The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced that the museum will be open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the year from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

I could be wrong, but weren't the hours of the previous incarnation Monday through Thursday 9-4 (minus an hour four lunch) and Friday 9-1? I might be misremembering this, but the new hours seem like fewer hours than before. I'll visit it obviously, but it would be nice to have a little more availability to the public, and some weekend hours wouldn't be bad for those of us with kids.

Awesome! My husband just asked me the other day if people could go in there when he was looking at the pictures on the Freep, thanks for the info.

It gives opposing fans a chance to see it. I enjoy my visit to the Husker experience in 2012. Our museum is nicer but they have us beat by displaying literally every trophy the football team has won. It would be nice if the National Championship trophy was on display.

Does DB charge for admission to this WOW factor branding spectacle of customer service from the future? Is there a good wifi signal in there?

an obvious and gratuitous snark.  Don't bother reading the article at the attached link, it would probably be of little interest.  Again, well played.
