Football Bust Theme Song

Submitted by Everyone Murders on

From petitions to oust Brandon, to organizing protests over Brandon, to starting kickstarter campaigns to induce Harbaugh, the blogosphere and this blog in particular have had fantastic good intermittent success in fomenting change in Michigan football.  Yeah us!

So, with that in mind, we are now taking nominations for the 2014 Michigan Football Bust Theme Song.  Once we have a winner, I will bribe the Laurel Manor catering and A/V staff to play the song over the PA system at the appropriate time (right before Coach Hoke's speech).  No Josh Groban this time around, though.  We'll have none of that!

So, what do you all want to hear as the theme song?  The Doors' The End?  Neil Sedaka Breaking Up Is Hard To Do?  The Afghan Whigs' Jail

Vote in the comments.  We'll make this happen.

Firstly, that was an abslolutely incredible album and is one of the greatest of all time, IMHO.

Secondly, "Bury Me With it" I believe is the song on the album that actually references the album title throughout.  However, off of that same album, "Blame it on the Tetons" and of course "Float On" would also work perfectly.

We could have won the big ten championship but then we got high. We could have scored a touchdown at Notre Dame but then we got high. We could have had no turnovers but then we got high. Because we got high because we got high because we got high. We could have taken Shane Morris out of the game but  thenwe got high. We could have stabbed Dantonio with a stake but then we got high. Now Brandon is golfing in Florida and I know why. Cause we got high. Cause we got high. Cause we got high. We could have won in the Horseshoe but then we got high. We could beaten Maryland and Rutgers but then we got high. Now Drake Johnson blew up his ACL and I know why. Cause we got high. Cause we got high. Cause we got high.

"No Expectations" by the Stones.

Take me to the station

And put me on a train

I've got no expectations

To pass through here again.

And since this song comes from the "Beggars Banquet" album, it's perfect for the Bust.

People worry, what are they worrying about today?
People worry, what are they worrying about today?
Seems like there's a good reason to worry, worry, worry
Seems like there's a damn good reason to worry, worry, worry
I'd sit around, I'd listen to your story if I wasn't in such a hurry, hurry, hurry
