Floyd Reinstated

Here's to "all or nothing."

"It comes as little surprise after Kelly announced earlier this summer that his decision on Floyd would be an "all-or-nothing" proposition: Either the All-American receiver would play in all 12 games this season or he wouldn't take another snap for Notre Dame. ""

No.  He is the other CB... on the other side of the field

Avery (the more vulnerable of the 2 CBs) will need the nickel-back (either JT FLoyd or T. Gordon) to double-up on Floyd and assist Avery.

Woolfolk will be busy on single coverage of ND's other elite WR.

ND's other elite WR? Who exactly is that?

Seriously though, you expect Woolfolk to cover the "other" receiver on Minnesota opposite Da'Jon McKnight, the "other" receiver on Northwestern opposite Jeremy Ebert, the "other" receiver on Michigan State opposite whoever their number 1 is?

That's interesting.

Also, I'd suspect the nickel-back will be busy defending a TE or a 3rd wideout in Notre Dame's spread offense, but hey, that's just a guess.

Zero tolerance Dantonio. With him, the problem isn't just jail to the field (as we're not entirely in a position to talk) but the fact that he shouted zero tolerance and then did nothing. "it means just that, I have zero tolerance for it" he said after someone brought up his inconsistencies. So, just like Kelly, they're empty words.

People should be fine throwing stones no matter what happens with Stonum- as long as they're willing to throw the same stones at Hoke.

Not quite related, but close enough: ND needs to stop this act they have going about "doing things differently". Their new coach has played an obviously concussed player, ran a program found guilty of multiple workplace safety violations by IOSHA (that resulted in a death) and now has reinstated a player that apparently would have been in deep shit with the school itself, not just the football team, even a couple years ago.

Who'd a thunk it!?

Although, if Hoke reinstates Stonum can we still critique Brian Kelly and ND?  Not trying to be flamebait here, just asking an honest question.

I think most of the hypocrisy is that Kelly said "all or nothing" and then didn't follow through.  I don't think Coach Hoke has made a concrete statement either way in Stonum's case so it will be easier for him to explain whatever punishment he deems appropriate.  I haven't followed it that closely but I've been happy with how the team is handling the situation.  I guess Hoke isn't just a master recruiter.

Before we throw our hands up in the air... We have seen plenty of DUI's from our guys too (Stonum, Braylon, J. Rose, Grady).
To be honest it could happen to anyone so we shouldn't get all pissed off and have a kid's opportunity in school taken away.

This isn't his first alcohol related arrest. And a DUI is a serious offense, he would serve jail time if he killed someone while driving. A DUI could not happen to anybody, it can only happen to people who CHOOSE to drink and drive.

Why am I not surprised.  This is the same coach who told his team at Cinci  at the end of the regular season that he wasn't leaving and left them before their BCS bowl.  Kelly is a scumbag like many others who coach.  It is a win at all costs mentality.

I just find it extremely obnoxious that mgouser IRISH is never to be found on a thread like this.  Also, the last two seasons prior to the Notre Dame he was all over the boards hyping up his team, only to not be found after the games were played.  I guarantee you'll find him all over the boards again this year, and if ND is to win, watch out.

If you're going to give it IRISH.  Take it.  Yeah, Stonum will play this year, just like Floyd.  Just make sure you don't write a passive aggressive post on the Stonum thread after not posting anything on this one.
