Flight Tracker for Harbaugh-to-Michigan Jet?

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

I know this is beyond obsessive (and very unhealthy), but I wouldn't mind having a way to track Jimmy's flight back to Ann Arbor.

Anybody have the FlightAware number? Is it blocked?

I checked Willow Run scheduled arrivals as well. There are no flights listed (which does seem odd). And you didn't have "the old jet's" serial number. You had Stephen Ross's private jet.

Didn't realize that he'd have a jet with the same, or at least similar, paint job.  I also saw the lack of an inbound on the Willow Run profile.  I do have one other source that I can try that may have it, one that would surprise me if he can block it from.  I'll wait until the scheduled (reported) departure time which I think is 1pm Eastern Standard Time.

Between charters and university owned planes they could be flying any number of aircraft. Flightaware has a feature to search for any flights between two locations, so maybe that's a good approach. Think they're planning a 10am PST departure and I'd think it would be direct Willow Run (KYIP) or Metro.

Just from living / working in the space between Metro and Willow Run, a great majority of the chartered flights or prviately owned aircraft land at / leave from Willow Run simply because of the ease of slotting as well as the fact that the majority of the privately owned hangars are there. A lot of team flights leave from Metro, of course, and some private aircraft, but if you've ever taken a drive up and down Middlebelt, where much of the private hangars sit, there's very little space - the Illitches are next to the UPS hangar though, so there is at least that.

Yes, thank God someone created this thread....I was wondering when the hell we were going to discuss flightaware.

I guess anything can be blocked, but considering all flights have to have a flight plan, that record has to go somewhere and available online at some source. Someone needs to find it.

I find this to be a perfectly healthy level of obsession. What I'm wondering is why won't the marching band and throngs of the faithful be waiting at the tarmac to welcome the coach home?
