Flashback: 1999 Game Day live from EL
(HT: The Only Colors, THE quality MSU blog)
My god this is amazing intro. It's crazy to think how far GameDay has come and how long the cast has been together.

Oh wow, Reebok sponsorships? Now I feel old.
Also, I think Corso gave Herbie some flashbacks of his own at 3:45.

If you pause it at 3:12 you see something even more rare than a Dantonio smile, a Saban smirk!

Just a great intro, and a great game even though the good guys lost. It is amazing that despite the fact they have been doing gameday for over a decade, it is still pretty entertaining. Compare that to the pro football coverage on ESPN, which I have not watched for more than a couple of minutes in years.

Herbie's line about the winged helmet is classic.

GameDay has been around since 1993, haven't they? I think their first game was that epic Florida State/Notre Dame game from 93.
As far as the video? Meh. I'd rather see the GameDay feature outside Spartan Stadium from 1997. Plenty of screaming Sparty fans before the game and afterwards, nothing but Michigan fans waving their flags after a 23-7 victory.

Agreed. This needs to stop. I'm going to try and help stop the bleeding.

Two observations:
1) Was it just me or did Nick Saban look like he couldn't wait to get out of East Lansing?
2) Is that really how things looked in 1999? I seriously felt like I was watching Chris Berman in 1989:

I'm looking at you, Corso.

They had to have the set inside of the stadium just to ensure the saftey of the Gameday crew after the beercan incident in 97.
