Five Way Big Ten Tie...

Submitted by Kilgore Trout on

So in hopes of being optimistic, my mind constructed a situation where UM could work its way into a five way tie for the Big Ten title.  I think it would be the perfect way to end the no championship game era.  Your quick cheering guide...

MSU, lose to NW today, lose to Iowa next week.  Win rest.

Iowa, lose to Wisconsin today, OSU in a few weeks.  Win rest.

Wisconsin, beat Iowa today, lose to UM in November, win rest.

OSU, lose to UM in November, lose rest.

UM, win out.

Let's do this

EDIT:  Obviously I meant win rest for OSU.

I was thinking that the Big Ten tiebreakers for preventing more than two co-champions; they're just for deciding who gets to go to the Rose Bowl if there are co-champions.

Don't waste our energy on all this nonsense.  We are not yet worthy of a Bign 10 Championship.  Just root for our great young kids to compete, get better, and win as many games as we can...one week at a time!

And find a way to beat that team down south.

Just to give my man some hope, everything on the list still seems doable, and I don't think MSU @ PSU is a gimmie for Sparty.  PSU should be healthier on D by then.
