Fitz Toussaint Debut

Submitted by amphibious1 on

Fitz Toussaint, I just saw the first 2 carries in your career. I wanted to formally welcome you to the party. I'm sorry we've been missing you.

EDIT: It appears as though I clicked the save button too slow. I was beaten to it, so I will soon bid this entry adieu...

Isn't anyone a little surprised that he got caught from behind though? I think he ran a 10.7 100 meter in H.S. Maybe the knee slowed him down a little?

And I think looking at his recruiting film and hearing practice buzz the kid us going to be good. And getting caught from behind is prob a product of the lingering injury. But we can't really tell anything about him based on the two carries today. The o line was way to impressive on those plays for the rb to make any difference. A pretty sweet thing to see no doubt and may it happens on every carry in his career. Hopefully will see what he can really do against iu and msu.

Great.  Smith is a good blocker and pass catcher.

That's EXACTLY what we need from a kid who gets starter-level numbers of handoffs.

Taylor Lewan is a good blocker, too.  Maybe he can start at running back if Smith gets hurt!

We are not going to put in a back just to be a blocker/receiver.  We did enough of that crap under Mike DeBord.  Smith scored two TDs yesterday.  Lay off him already.

I was up north near Harrisville watching the game at a bar.  I think everyone thought I was a little strange when I stood up after Fitz made that really long run and I started yelling "I TOLD YOU THAT KID WAS GONNA BE GOOD" to nobody in particular.
