I'm guessing standard procedure for an indefinite suspension. Gotta earn your back or something.
Fitz and Clark's names removed from lockers
I'd guess it's just Brady's way of letting them know they have to earn their spots back.
That could be part of their punishment. Like when Tate had his wings taken off. This is probably a symbollic way of saying they have to earn their way back on the team.
I really hope that is the case because I started sweating when I saw this.
I also hope they both make it back. If they were repeat offenders I'd have less patience, but hopefully this is something they can learn from and never make the same mistake again.
Wow, interesting to contrast this info. with what Hoke said about not addressing it with the team as whole, so as to not take focus from the team.
Great stuff though, thanks for sharing.
I like the strong statement if they have to work to get back, and that he is dealing with it at the team leval rather than in the public.
Pretty sure Stonum still had a locker all of last year (at least when I saw it). Might mean bad news...
His punishment was set. He still practiced and played a role on the scout team.
IMO this means that Fitz will still be on the team and Frank will be back in Glenville where he can use all the nasty words on his twitter account again.
Seems like disciplinary action in line with Hoke's message about the higher standard of being a Michigan Man.
How and where do i sign up for this tour you speak of?
Right here, sir.
You can bring up to 10 people for $100. I had two others with me and trust me, you will never regret spending the money on it.
I will be taking 45 preschoolers on said tour next week! Schools and non-profits are $2/person. This will be our second year taking kids to the stadium - very memorable for all!
Much respect to you for that.. Couldnt handle it so you are awesome!
I always think its Bill Murray vocalizing all your comments and responses. Makes it more entertaining.
Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll take my MSU and OSU cousins. I'm sure they'd love it!! ....on second thought, that would be as bad as an atheist walking into church!!! I'll leave them at home!
Email sent.. Bang bang
Those tours are great. I highly recommend them.
Hey Bill, I was going to ask the same thing.
Interesting how each was handled differently...
In other news, #39 HOUMA. Like it.
#39 HOUMA Fullbackian fullback who fullbacks.
Now this is a post! First hand information with pictures to back it up. So refreshing after wading through these long threads analyzing some kid's cryptic tweet to nowhere. Thank you.
Where are the pictures? I don't see them.
EDIT: double post, sorry!
DOUBLE EDIT: I'm at work now (XP, IE8) and feel stupid for having even asked about the pictures yesterday because, low and behold, there they are right inline with the OP. No idea why I wasn't able to see them last night on my MBA running Chrome (it wasn't even showing a broken image icon, an obvious gap, etc). Feel free to reply to this if you have any ideas or insights as to what the problem may be because I'm stumped!
On a seperate note I don't like seeing anyone other than a corner wear 29 these days. I wish Blake would have snatched it.
until he gets the #2 jersey next year! (Hopefully)
It's hard not to have high hopes for him. He was basically our #1 corner as a true freshman who didn't enroll early.
a strong safety? (Marcus Ray)
I could safely assume this is Brady's way of making them earn their way out of the doghouse OR
stupid ass big ten logo ruining the field......I hate you Delaney.
Maybe they should have made the entire logo "transparent."
Actually it didn't look so bad on the field in person.
That was my thought too. The logos actually look fine out there--except for the B1G thing. I still think that's ridiculous.
Wait, there are more logos, besides the B1G one?
No, using the number "1" instead of the letter "I" to spell a word is ridiculous. It doesn't even shorten the "word"!
Get off my lawn, you damn kids with your Twitter.
Doesn't even shorten the "w0rd"?
do they have their Wings?
I'm sure Hokeamania ran wild on both these dudes. I've got high hopes for Fitz this year
Probably spending some time at Michigan's player development school (BCC).
Bolivia Community College.
maybe Frank mistook his locker as a Macbook Air. Too soon?
I doubt the players have even been in the stadium that much so far. It would be much more significant if it was in the locker room in Schembechler. Plus things like that get stolen or the player takes them home after every year (I know several people who do this).
It's you!! Any insider information next month?
Your info has routinely proven entirely too valuable. I also noticed that the lockers didn't seem to be the nice ones we had been seeing pictures of before, which confused me. I get it now. The players main lockers are at Schembechler.
Eh, the field doesn't look as bad as I thought. Could've been worse... they could've made it baby blue.
True, but it's still an advertisement that just looks out of place.
I still think the whole "earn your wings back" thing was brilliant.
Yeah, public humiliation always works well.
wouldn't it make sense to use the 10s for the 10 yard line for the B1G logos. It would really just be adding a "B" to the field. less clutter is better.
Someone might mistaken it for the 816 yard line.
I'm pretty sure the offense and defense have different sections of the locker room, so you'd have to move over to the defensive section to check for Clark's locker.
Nope, the players weren't segregated anymore. Bill told me that when Hoke first went into the locker room, he was having none of it. They're a team not certain groups within it.
I think both ways are valid points. For example, most offensive lines ALWAYS sit/stand in order from left to right (LT, LG, C, RG, RT). Watch them on the bench sometime, they're just like that. But Brady's way works too from a team uniform standpoint. That's cool.
and that sounds like a better setup anyway, I was surprised that it was segregated before.
Inside the Stadium, doesn't it make sense to segregate the offense and defense? Because the main function of the locker room in the Stadium is to serve as a meeting room during the brief and pressure-packed Halftime periods of games. And at that moment, I expect that Borges and his position coaches are talking to the offense and Mattison and his position coaches are talking to the defense.
It almost seems to me that any other segregation (by graduating class, uniform number, etc.) is less sensible.
The Stadium isn't used for practices for the most part, and nothing that I know of would be more critical to the functioning of the Stadium locker room than game-time/halftime platoon communication.
Bill told me that Brady did not like it being segregated like that. I think it was because he didn't want divisions or cliques within the team. The lockers are now all in numerical order by jersey numbers.
Maybe Hoke figures the fact that they are suspended will sink in better with a touch of finality.
Stole his....sorry couldn't resist! J/k...
I would hope Hoke is just like the rest of the football coaches in America. When the time comes star players will be ready to play.
patient with these latest suspensions. There is a process underway to determine just what occured in each instance; what each player must do to remain on the team; and how to encourage whole team and individual integrity. I have faith that Hoke and staff know what they are doing, and I can wait for it to play out.
is all about life lessons, not just football, I love that man. Screw up any way in life and you gotta bust your ass to get respect back
