First Touchdown of the Season
So does anybody have any predictions on the first touchdown of the season? Whos going to score it? How will it be scored? How many yards will it be for? Any and all predictions are welcomed to put my focus back on something that is worthwhile!
Brandon Minor scores on a 35 yard run on a 3rd and short of the first drive at about the 12:15 mark of the first quarter. Defense already got a 3 and out.
3:30 Saturday cant be here soon enough to silence the doubters and haters.

Denard 60 yard TD pass to Forcier.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:08 PM ^
Good call, but flip the 2.
Shoelace would be in 60 yards downfield standing in the endzone, by the time the snap gets to Tate.
GO BLUE !!!!!!!!!

David Cone 58 yard run off an option fake. (yes, I was at the spring game. Run, Coner, run!)
September 1st, 2009 at 12:04 PM ^
On a 99 yard opening kickoff return.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:20 PM ^

September 1st, 2009 at 12:04 PM ^
Minor on an eight yard TD that ends with him standing over the MLB five yards deep in the endzone
September 1st, 2009 at 12:04 PM ^
Grady 4 yard run and hands the ball to the ref...
September 1st, 2009 at 12:05 PM ^
I actually had a dream last night about the first game. Michigan received and drove it down the field in spectacular fashion. Then Brown capped it off with a quick pass catch and 20+ yard touch down. It was glorious!
I can't wait either. GO BLUE!
September 2nd, 2009 at 10:11 AM ^
My dream was a little different. D-Rob to Koger on 2nd and goal, Tebow style.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:06 PM ^
And then taking it to the house. Guns don't kill people BG kills people! (yes I know the original sayings)
September 1st, 2009 at 12:06 PM ^
Play action pass Forcier to Hemmingway, for 72 yards. 1 Play 1 Pass, 1 TD. Zero butterflies left in Tate's belly.
Oh , and 2 humiliated Freep reporters.
GO BLUE !!!!! WE ARE ALL IN !!!!!!!

Looks like you were the closest.

Second play from scrimmage, first quarter, WMU posession. Graham penetrates and forces Hiller into a bad throw. Donovan Warren intercepts. Takes it 37 yards to the house.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:08 PM ^
I call defense/special teams touchdown
September 1st, 2009 at 12:08 PM ^
4 yard run down the middle. Pretty creative, I know.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:11 PM ^
I'm calling Odoms on a bubble-screen that he breaks for about 15 yards. Towards the end of the first quarter.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:12 PM ^
WMU will score the first TD of the season. 27 yard run up the middle.
and then Michigan will respond with a FG. couple more touchdowns.
M escapes with a win: 17-14.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:16 PM ^
but that's a terrible prediction.

Western holds us to 17 points we are in trouble.
September 1st, 2009 at 1:29 PM ^
i think the word "western" is missing from your mgousername.
and i think intelligence is missing from your post.
September 4th, 2009 at 3:07 PM ^
and your name should be "jackass" sean.
MORONS! can't you see some fun from the other boring predictions?
September 4th, 2009 at 3:43 PM ^
If you're a Michigan Man, then I'm glad we "supposedly" didn't hire one. Just the lack of creativity alone.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:15 PM ^
Space Emperor. 51 yd run (more like a hover really on his floating antigravity sled). Fake punt from about midfield.
ALL HAIL ZOLTAN!
September 1st, 2009 at 1:15 PM ^
They have been practicing the "Space Emperor" package in camp. Zoltan accretes all of the mass in the Universe into a single point creating a rip in Spacetime.
Boom. Wormholed.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:17 PM ^
Carlos Brown jumps a quick out to the TE and runs it back for a 42 yard TD. Note: If he misses it, the TE rumbles for 35 yards.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:20 PM ^
Carlos Brown is on defense, now?
Man, we ARE thin.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:23 PM ^
Or Obi Ezeh. Or Donovan Warren. Or, you know... a defensive player?
September 1st, 2009 at 12:59 PM ^
I'm quite sure he meant Stevie BROWN....no harm done
September 1st, 2009 at 2:30 PM ^
That's what I meant. Doh!
September 1st, 2009 at 12:24 PM ^
On the first play, Denard will throw a 65 yard bomb to himself. Touchdown.
September 4th, 2009 at 3:13 PM ^
"On the first play, Denard will throw a 65 yard bomb to himself. Touchdown."
I was hoping someone would make this bold prediction. I agree 100%
September 1st, 2009 at 12:28 PM ^
Zone-read option, Tate keeps the ball and walks it into the corner of the endzone from about 10 yards (just like in the spring game).
September 1st, 2009 at 12:29 PM ^
of last season, Sheridan gets the start. On the first series he drives the team down the field and flips a TD pass to Shaw dragging across the field.
Oh, wait, that *was* last season. Stupid DVR.
I'm going with MINOR RAGE. 'bout eight yards, plowing over three guys. Run run run crush destroy oops TD pass
September 1st, 2009 at 1:10 PM ^
After a quick three and out. I just watched that game again yesterday.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:30 PM ^
Sheridan on a 56 yard run.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:31 PM ^
Good safety play returns to the Big House. Mike Williams takes it back 40 yards to start the scoring.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:32 PM ^
Brown with a 40 yard run on a read option handoff from Forcier.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:42 PM ^
Boubacar KR TD on the opening kick. I giant "danza" to the face of WMU and the doubters.
September 1st, 2009 at 12:47 PM ^
I just hope whoever does runs the ball to midfield and gives it to Rich Rod
September 1st, 2009 at 1:19 PM ^
A 7-yard scramble into the end zone from a young Tate Forcier.
By the way: Who is going to the game?
September 1st, 2009 at 1:29 PM ^
A bubble screen to Kelvin who does a behind the back juke breaks into a bit of space while his brother beer trucks over the secondary and grady scores.
September 1st, 2009 at 1:57 PM ^
I say Forcier Rushes for 5 yards. +1 for you for changing the subject from the much too dragged out false allegations
September 1st, 2009 at 2:04 PM ^
A Minor Rage touchdown from 10 yards out ending with him standing over the safety in the endzone.
September 4th, 2009 at 3:18 PM ^
Roh causes fumble, recovers it, then Crab Walks 57 yards to the end zone. TOUCHDOWN MEEECHAGAN
September 4th, 2009 at 6:45 PM ^
with a sweet cross over and dribble drive penetration. Wait...what?
