I joined here just to join in with my displeasure.  Hoke's on the line as far as I'm concerned.  I live in GA, buy season tickets and am about to stop.  If I don't see Borges boxes packed at the end of the year, I'm cancelling.  I'll be sure to let Brandon know that as well.  I'm fully disgusted.

630 miles from my door to my parents in Temperance.  I can do it in 9 to 10 hours depending on how troublesome my 2 year old wants to be.  Flight is about 4 hours total with all the security crap at the airport.

is the only way Hoke can make up for today.

Borges needs to go further and blow out OSU offensively for me to regain some faith in him. Beause it's all gone now.

Frankly, I think 7-5 is the most realistic estimate of our final record, with 6-6 more likely than 8-5.

I don't know what to think anymore.

Serious question here....if Al got axed right now, who calls the plays?   Fred Jackson?   Jeff Heck?   I can't in a million years envision the OC and OL coach getting axed mid-season.

I wish Scot Loefler was still a GA.

I live in Madison, so I'm acutely aware of the Wisconsin O-Line coach situation.   It was an amazing turn-around the week after they fired the O-line coach.

I'm more puzzled, though, as to what the hell we would do if our OC was canned right now.   Could FJax or Coach Heck call plays?   The sarcastic answer is "they can't be worse than what we've recently seen", but I just don't see the OC getting fired mid-season w/o a legit back-up option.

They hired a grad assistant who was on staff.   Gutsy, ballsy move, but turned out to be a very good one.    I grabbed this quote from a Wisconsin paper's archive:

"The problems reached a breaking point in the 10-7 loss at Oregon State on Saturday, with issues in the running game and also in pass protection.

The Badgers finished with 23 rushing attempts for 35 net yards, which included three sacks of quarterback Danny O’Brien for 35 yards in losses."

I would kill for 23 attempts and 35 yards right now!

I don't tihnk it was Borges' fault Dileo dropped that 4th down pass.

Is it Borges' fault for calling all those runs?  Absolutely.

This team fails to execute a lot.  Part of this can be on coaching, part of this is on how young mosto f the team is.

And hold on to your butts, cause next year we have 0 seniors on the OL, 1 junior (Chris Bryant).

We will have 13 seniors total on scholarship (if Hagerup is still on the team), and 17 juniors(Darboh will be a RS Soph).

We will have at least 24 true and RS Sophomores next year on scholarship.

This year we have 82 players on scholarship.  25 of them are upperclassmen.

Looking for answers?  There is a tumor on this team and its the OC who does not call plays that have any chance of success.

How many more times in key situations is he going to call for an off-tackle run from the I formation?  That has never gained a yard yet he keeps calling it.

When your offensive line can't block, why is every pass play a deep route that requires a long time to develop?

When the defense has 8 in the box and you have a bad O-line, why do you keep trying to run into it?

Why did it take him 8 games into the season to call a screen?

If Fitz can't block and can't run, why is he in there?  Damn, put a OL or a Fullback in the backfield or stop using a RB.   or have him chip the rusher and go into the flat as a safety value cause keeping him in there obviously isn't working.

You want me to go on?

This guy thinks "seniors" are allowed to play football! That's a riot. Just an FYI, silly guy, players only have three years of eligibility. That's why Michigan doesn't have any seniors. Some schools with lesser ethical standards break this rule with impunity, even celebrating "Senior Day"(!). Not at Michigan, sir. We are better than that. If we can't beat you with freshmen and sophomores, we just can't beat you.

Michigan Football's first political correctness coordinator as there is nothing offensive about him. The only negativity Borges tolerates is rushing yardage.

Did anybody notice that Hoke had tears in his eyes after the game? Sad. Thank gawd for the snow flakes.

The play calling is pretty far down the list of coaching issues. The OL is horrible in the middle and Gardner is always simultaneously terrified of throwing a pick and getting his ribs crushed. The plays would be fine if there were ANY player development. The offense is the mirror opposite of our defense -it has star players, but it is completely disorganized. Borges is not unique in needing some production from the running game for his system to work. In fact, I really don't think we want an OC that is really a pass-first guy. What we need is for some development from our OL. A young OL may be bad - but two straight games with negative rushing yardage suggests a much larger, systematic issue - one that goes way beyond play calling. In conclusion, FIRE EVERYONE! But for reasons not entirely related to play calling.

The short passing game can work just as well as a running game. Borges just refuses to stick with it. That is on Borges and his play calling. The only TD in this game for Michigan on a drive which featured a bunch of short passes.

I am now sick of Borges, despite trying to hold out and support him. I don't know if Hoke is forcing him into a box, a la RichRod and his defenses/3-3-5, or if Borges is just incapable of producing results against meaningful competition. But this awful performance against a bad Nebraska squad is the final straw for me. Hopefully Brandon starts looking for his replacement tonight, because Hoke won't do it on his own.

Mack brown fired Manny Diaz because the Texas D kept giving up huge gains on the same play over and over again. No logical reason hoke shouldn't fire Borges for failing again and again and again at the same play calling yet continually calling it at critical times of the game.
