Finally Official Hello: Zach Werenski
After being rumored for months (and posted by me two times already), projected 2015 top 10 NHL pick Zach Werenski has FINALLY signed with Michigan
Excited to have signed my NLI to play hockey for the University of Michigan! #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/oGm4M0HtV9

I have that shirt too. If there was Rivals250 for College Hockey, Werenski would be top 5 overall. Big get for the D corps.
The game has just passed Red by and if only he could recruit.
We'll get the rare feeling in recruiting of instant satisfaction as he just formally committed today and he'll be on the ice in right around 3 months
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually have one like it myself, as the OP mentioned. I like it personally.
Welcome to Michiganm Zach Werenski!

Sigh. I sure miss buying Hockey championship gear.
I'm actually kind of amazed that recruiting seems to be picking up as Red comes closer to retirement.
2007 seemed to be our last truly epic class. A class featuring Patch, Palushaj, Hagelin, Caporusso, Kampfer, Rust, etc. All those guys were drafted. Now the 2014-2016 classes are really picking up. Depending on who you ask, we have three projected 2015 1st rounders and a lot of our 2016 guys are supposed to be elite as well.
Tempting to speculate that these guys know something about who the next coach will be, but probably not
/s just in case
i asked my wife... she had no friggin' clue, so there goes that
I think you should be the one to GTFO.
...and you can't triple-stamp a double-stamp.
C'mon...you can do it...
Your comment probably would have been fine if you suggested that Red should retire, as opposed to telling him to Get The Fuck Out. You tell the Gergs of the world to GTFO. You don't tell a coach with Red's record to GTFO.
No doubt Werenski is a big pick-up, but as far as "recruiting picking up"....Michigan basically had to complete a Hail Mary at the last minute after losing out on recruit after recruit after recruit on the blue line all last season.
They're also in a position where they need a 17-year-old to come in and be a savior because there's very little talent on defense otherwise. Downing and DeJong should be better, but it's a stretch to expect them to be top pairing guys at this point. Outside of the slam-dunk local kids like Trouba and Merrill, Michigan hasn't had much luck in recruitig top quality defenseman(if you want to include Bennett, which is a stretch, that was ix years and a different staff ago).
Booo unhappy news in this thread
