Fifty-Yard-Line Club: Any members?

This thread was prompted by Brian's earlier link to John U. Bacon's article on the Big House, which I found to be pretty interesting, even though I already knew about a lot of it (cleaning up the stadium and running the steps were customary ROTC activities):

So, has anyone joined? Regrettably, I did not as a student, but I still intend to.... attempt an application. The article mentioned the stadium being locked up during the week nowadays, while construction is ongoing, and I think there is more security, so an attempt this year may be shot. Though, I'd love to "christen" the new stadium when it's complete =)

On a side note, I loved the Oosterbaan/Yost quote, which I had never seen: "Mr. Yost was feeling pretty good," the late Oosterbaan remembered. "We'd won, and the stadium was completely filled. He lighted up his cigar and turned to me and said, 'Bennie, do you know what the best thing about that new stadium is? Eighty-five thousand people paid five dollars apiece for their seats—and Bennie, they had to leave the seats there.'"

Yeah, ask anonymous internet posters whether they've had cool, risky sex in a forum where they have no incentive not to lie. That'll go swimmingly, I'm sure.

And no.

Gee, I thought everything was bigger in Texas, but I guess they can't get it up to the 50... isn't there a pill for Yard-line Dysfunction Syndrome?
