Fiesta Bowl open thread

As much I would love to see a great game I almost want to see a blowout and the AP vote go to the winner of this game. I hate the BCS.

TCU will win this game big. They've beaten more bowl winners (key word: winners) this year than any other team. I believe the total is 6. Boise has beaten.... Oregon. Who didn't look very good against OSU (aka Pac-10 was down this year. Way down). TCU 41 BSU 17

Boise jumped out to a 13-0 lead in last year's Poinsetta Bowl vs TCU. Dalton had a big INT early in that one, although not quite like that one taken back to the House. They wont panic. It'll be interesting to see what their counterpunch is

Fact about Boise State: Their basketball team plays in the Taco Bell Arena. If Denise from the recent commercials worked at the arena, I may consider transferring to Boise.

I only glanced at this whole thread and I do apologize if this topic has been posted already, but have any of you guys seen the uniforms and helmets being worn by TCU?!? Holy God they look like absolute dog shit. The "smoke" look on the pants just looks like a travesty waiting to happen and the entire ensemble together just makes me think of the All American Football league or whatever the heck league it is that has 4 teams in it. These uniforms are just straight up terrible. I thought this was college football and not the arena league. Sorry for my rant. I really just can't stand incessant uniform changes and alterations that seem to be the current trend. What the hell was wrong with black?

even more illegitimate as a way to choose a champion than it already is. No undeserving champion will change the current system anyway, so we may as well have a team that deserves it, as the winner of Bama/Texas surely does, and the winner of this game does not, IMO.

I saw them come in to Bowling Green and sat next to Pat Forde the whole game, and he had just come up from the Cincinatti v. Fresno State game. After Boise's beatdown of my beloved Falcons Pat Forde predicted to me that Cincinatti would go undefeated in the Big East and Boise would go to the Fiesta Bowl this year. As much as I disagree with a lot of his stuff, I gotta give it to him on that one. As for Boise, at one point they scored 21 points in 2 minutes. This team is scary good, they could compete with any team in the nation. I think it's about time they join the Pac-10, because if they were they could legitamitally compete to play in the Rose Bowl on New Years every year. That program is in a very good place right now. Go Boise!

they would come in 4th or 5th every year. They are in a perfect place now, dominating their own conference and always having a chance to go to the BCS. And I'm sorry, I respect the right to your opinion and it's a legitimate debate, but there is no way in hell they would "compete for the Rose Bowl every year" unless by joining the PAC 10 they started getting better players than they do now.

They are in a great place right now and I wouldn't blame them if they wanted to just stay in the WAC right now... and maybe they couldn't compete every year for the pac-10 championship... but competing for the rose bowl once every two or three years I don't think would be out of the question if they moved over. They beat everyone they play. Anyone and everyone who wants to challenge them. Also they'd be able to recruit better athletes with the move, although their players are doing very well for them right about now, just ask Legarrette Blount. lol. I think it'd be an interesting experiment if nothing else. I wish it would happen.

Just caught up to live TV on the DVR. Some quick TCU thoughts: Does TCU play in a conference that ever passes? TCU's punter = best player on the field TCU's little two finger horned frog sign is super silly. EDIT: TCU cheerleaders are, indeed, super hot.
