Fiesta Bowl open thread

I realize the basketball game is on right now too, but I can't wait to watch this game. I wish these teams hadn't lost and this was the national championship.

I have to root for Bill Snyder and the Wildcats. Guy is a hell of a coach and 12 wins would be a school record.

I am not sure it would work but I would like to see him in the pros.

I didn't think carroll would work out and look at what he is doing in Seattle.  I thought Saban would be a boss in the NFL.  So, what do I know?

He could succeed Belichick at New England or Smith at Atlanta and be the destroyer of worlds.  But if he takes the kind of a dogsqueeze team that needs a coach RIGHT NOW, he had better hope that he gets a five-year guatantee...he needs personnel that few NFL teams have to be successful with his offense...that will take time to build.

I think being one of the big camera operators has to be the easier job in the world. Half the time you're just looking for hotties or celebrities to show, and other times you're filming a game

Is that one Oregon girl they keep showing related to someone? No excuse on the camera man's part if she isn't. Second string talent at best with what they've got at that school.

It is interesting to me that a team like Oregon that averaged 550 yards of offense per game in the regular season and yet they are on track, barring the total collapse of Kansas State's defense, to manage only about 60% of that, but yet, they are almost on track to meet their average points per game for the year. Also, Oregon has 52 yards or rushing compared to a season average of 323 yards. More evidence of how odd bowl games can be.

Just saw a commercial for the PAC-12 BBall tourney....in Las Vegas.

Because when I think about the Pacific Conference, I think of a city surrounded by desert

constantly in that military veterans football game, sick of that dude already and he should consider himself lucky we decided to call a stupid 2nd half offensive gameplan against them.
