I thought we could have this to discuss their visit.
I hope it ends with a commit or two:)
According to Scout's site, there is actually a fourth visitor with the trio. Any insight anybody?
here's hoping they all strike up a friendship and wanna play at Michigan together
So with Funchess and Ross, that means each uncommitted guy has a committed guy to buddy up with. Good plan.
A solid OT out of Colorado is visiting this weekend as well.
Is Brionte there or did that get changed???
He was there yesterday.
He was there Friday, I am not sure he stayed for today considering there were some articles up on scout.com last night about his visit.
I don't have an account. What was the gist of it? How did he like Michigan?
Was in town Friday with his dad. Left AA Friday evening. TomVH said he will have a recap of his visit reaction in the weekly update, but Dunn doesn't want a lot of information out there because of his current commitment to osu. He, and his dad, are playing it very close to the vest.
Hopefully not a sweater vest...
Dunn was only there for Friday. I spoke with him on his way back from the visit, I'll have it in the Weekly Update on Monday.
Tom said Dunn had a pretty good visit as well.. Hope Dunn realizes he will be loved and coveted more by the maize and blue.
say about it?
Looks like I was the last one to the party...
From any of the FHH guys?
If any of you want to do a little Twitter stalking and imagining our future commits, Shane Morris is good friends with Mario Ojemudia, Devin Funchess, Royce Jenkins Stone, James Ross, and Devin Gardner. It looks like they tweet fairly frequently. If we can land Mario I've got to believe Shane would be a very strong possibility.
According to what I've read behind several paywalls. Almost like he was disappointed that he had to even be up in A2 b/c of the Ohio issues and pending sanctions. We'll see.
The question is are we in for a single or a double committ at this point?
What's going on?!
tell you but i think mario ojemudia or however you spell it just committed
Well this ruins my day until we can find out whats going on.... Im not ale to move now
Gunner, Brionte, Marshall all commit.
I can keep dreaming, right?
stephon diggs and DGB with andrus peat and jordan diamond
And the NCAA decided that the entirety of the 2006 D will be granted one more year of eligibility for exigent circumstances.
lol... Yea Kiel, Morris, Dunn, Day, Marshall, DGB... they are all coming!
can you help us out with this?
Intriguing. Hopefully both decide its where they want to be. Any word on Burbridges qualifying issues?
he's got an entire year to fix those issues. I don't know how bad you would need to screw up if you don't qualify halfway through your junior year of high school.
He reportedly has a lot of work to do to qualify.
Allen Trieu just tweeted:
#Michigan fans, don't go far
EDIT: Damn, someone just beat me to it.
Either Ojemudia or both he and Burbridge must have just committed right? MSU fanbase is going to go absolutely ballistic over this.
I hope that's what happened but I wouldn't count on it.
Hello Post or it didn't happen.
But seriously, My fingers are crossed.
He is listed as a DE
then Chris Wormley will commit tomorrow to ensure we keep our string of getting one kid from Michigan and one from Ohio at the same position back-to-back
He most likely will be a rush/weakside DE in college. I agree with you that he is listed as a DT on scout but I believe he is being recruited as a DE.
He plays some DT for FHH that might be the reason that he is listed as a DT.
Scout is dumb sometimes.
Magnus, how do you feel about MO's size? Seems like he'd have to put on a lot of weight to end up earning significant PT.
I'm not that concerned about his size. He's only a junior in high school, and we don't need him to play immediately with Roh, Black, and Beyer around. If he is indeed 215, I'm guessing he'll be at least 225-230 by the time he graduates.
I'm not a huge fan of his athleticism, but size doesn't concern me.
What do you think of him as a package? Is he a "good get" beyond the benefit of keeping him out of Sparty clutches?
I don't believe in recruiting a guy just to keep him away from an opponent. I don't think a smart coach would do that. You only recruit the kids who a) you think can play for you or occasionally b) might bring along a very talented teammate/friend.
If the coaches think a kid like Ojemudia is so good that he would destroy Michigan while playing for MSU in the future, then he's probably good enough to recruit in the first place.
I hope Tim includes the death lasers in any Hello post that may come out.
You can get less athletic, high motor kids in November, December, January, and February. I'm not sure why you need to offer those kids so early.
I don't think Ojemudia would be a waste of a scholarship or anything. I just think there are several more talented kids in Ohio, and a commitment from Ojemudia might preclude those Ohioans from becoming Wolverines.
Ojemudia looks like a less athletic Tim Jamison to me. I'm not sure how others feel about that. I guess you can make up your own minds.
He is also listed some places as a LB, but it seems to me the coaches are recruiting him at DE.
They're recruiting him as a WDE, like what Craig Roh plays now.
has to be mad right?
one of the posters from RCMB in the Ojemudia thread after Trieu tweeted earlier:
If we get both, they'll be devastated!
He has the frame to get above 240 by the time he graduates. A 225 pound defensive end is small, weak side or not.
Craig Roh was 230 as a recruit. He's now 251 (or more). Size really shouldn't be a concern here, especially because Ojemudia should have the luxury of redshirting and sitting on the bench for a couple years.
I agree, I was essentially saying the same thing. Come in underweight, do work in the weight room and learn to run with the big boys.
Aaron seems to be a pretty big MSU lean. Is this true? Has there been any indication of him leaning towards Michigan recently?
TomVH has previously indicated that those rumors are unfounded and he's a lot more open in his recruitment than most MSU fans would like to think. To paraphrase (since I'm too lazy to go look it up): those who think Burbridge is an MSU lock are very misinformed.
