This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.
Few quotes from this weekend's commits
I think it had a measurable effect... Measured at least 8 commitments large. :-)
Go Blue!
Everyone knows the bathroom echo..
Its called a royale with cheese
I see that we are 1 of 5 teams he is warm to and the only one not in the South. Any idea if we get him or is the door closed? Does he have a timeline? Any idea what this weekend does to his train of thought? What about Pocic? Do we take both if they both want to come?
I doubt we'd have room to take both Tunsil and Pocic, but having them both want to Go Blue would be a nice problem for the coaches to sort out!
Word is he's a heavy Florida lean. He's from there and grew up a gator fan.
I'm no expert, but I bet UM is done with OL unless they take a true center prospect.
If Pocic waits until the end of the process and UM has an open spot, they could take another obvs.
He is a Florida lean, but there's definitely an interest in Michigan:
Derek Tyson @DerekTysonESPN
Tunsil on #Michigan: "I like Darrell Funk coaches the o-line. I watch Michigan games all the time and I just like the way their line plays."
I do think we have as good a shot as one can have for a kid out of Florida with no ties to the school and one who grew up as a fan of one of the in-state schools. I pretty much discounted our chances as quickly as I announced them, huh? I think we can get him on campus. It'll be tough battle to get him, but we'll see. We have a lot to offer.

They were great but it came down to academics. Oh sweet last laugh.

Did the strength coaches approve this? I thought lugging 30 lbs of books to class was part of their training.
They will probably just stick a 45 lb plate in their backpack now.
"Wasn't that Michigan drive just great. That's like Patton riding into Berlin." ~Bob Ufer
Back in my day we had to lug our books TO and FROM class, uphill, in a snowstorm!, with lightning!

To think, the greatest weekend in memory for Michigan athletics started with Kyle Bosch's morning deuce...
The second best reason to go to Michigan! The first . . . I'll just leave you to work that one out!
You have gotta' love this . . .
UM, Stanford, MSU. "One of these things is not like the others..." I see which one was thrown out first haha
Me fail English? That's unpossible!
Credit to Kyle Busch for calling the coaches he was turning down.
Anyone know if that is standard operating procedure, or do most recruits simply let other coaches find out via the media like everybody else?
I've read reports from many players calling a coach to commit, then calling the others to let them know. I think it's fairly standard, but stil a classy move.
I've also noticed that, unlike Bosch, it seems that the calls usually go in the order I described: Call and commit ("lockign in" the decision.) Then calling the the coaches to give them the FYI.
I suppose when you call from the Crisler Center, the other coaches probably know they don't have a chance to talk the player out of the decision, not that they would necessarily try anyway.
And credit to him for leaving NASCAR, we all know that was just a pipe dream.
Academics! Ha! Eat it, Stanford!
Don't quote laws to us. We carry swords.

Where are all the 5 stars? All these 4 star committs are getting old...

"Over? Did you say, over? Nothing is over until we decide it is!"
Fighting Illini fans must be pretty bummed to see such a good in-state class getting raided by so many other schools. It doesn't appear that Bosch or LTT had ANY interest in the University of Illinois at all. And it's only going to continue by the Zooks of it. I mean, by the looks of it. Damned Freudian typos.
They have a chance with Pocic and he's better than they historically get...although he may end up somewhere else, too!
I agree, would suck to be an Illini fan right now.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
They're probably used to it.

Great comments, great recruits, and it is NO SURPRISE to me that Don and Softball are on here talking about Dantonio. Those two simply cannot let that school or that coach out of their heads. YUCK..
These are the kinds of times that separate us from the Alabamas of the college football world. Saban can keep his 4 and 5-stars that will jump ship after 3 years. I'll take the high-character kids who come here to prepare for life after football, but also win us some Rose Bowls, and maybe a NC on the side.
My guess is the word "NFL" never comes out of Hoke's mouth on a recruiting visit. He clearly does his homework on the type of guys he recruits.
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
Didn't really think about this until I came across your post, but doesn't it make sense for kids to hold no loyalty to Saban when they know that he'd drop them like a bad habbit after just one injury or a poor season?
I agree and am glad M focuses on moreso on character, family, tradition, etc. than the promise of mega millions at the next level.
that after this weekend all in-state recruits that Michigan offered have committed?
Only target missed was Elmer to ND...pretty good haul no matter how you dice it!
MD's weekend must have sucked! To get that call on a Saturday, and then hear the just tidelwave of future Wolverines committing. These are the creme of the crop in the Midwest, and unless MD plans to "recruit nationally" I don't see him being pleased.
Quote overheard from Hoke this weekend:
"Dr. Jones. Dantonio, again we see there is nothing you can possess which I cannot take away."
"Do not disturb my circles."
This is my favorite quote from the weekend:
From LT-T
"It feels so great. Honestly I just came to a realization that these other places were great opportunities, but Michigan is where I belong," he said. "I told my mom and called my dad, and then I called Coach (Darrell) Funk and Coach (Brady) Hoke. Coach Hoke's wife was yelling when I told them."
I'd like to take some credit for Bosch's schoolmates putting subliminal messages into his head. My buddies nephew is a classmate of Kyle's. We gave explicit intructions that he is to wear Michigan gear until Kyle commits to the Wolverines. Our plan worked flawlessly.
"the Spirit of Michigan...is based on a deathless loyalty to Michigan and all her ways....and a conviction that nowhere is there a better university, in any way, than this Michigan of ours" - Fielding Yost
too long; did read.
This is home...
1 month to finish teaching Dantonio the lesson in Michigan recruiting Hecklinki was so rudely prevented from completing.
reinforce the legend of Hoke's golden (aka rainbow) poop? Just asking.

Interested to see how our OLs fare in the summer camp circuits...
