A few minor recruiting notes

Submitted by Gobluegr on
It's a slow night so I thought I would pass on a few recruiting notes that haven't been posted. Jeremy Clark got moved up to a three star on Scout. He is rated as the #69 safety in the country (Wayne Morgan is #95). This makes him a three star on Espn, rivals, and scout. http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=5584390 James Ross accepted an invitation to play in the Army All-American Bowl, he joins fellow commits Royce Jenkins-Stone, Kyle Kalis, and Erik Magnuson. http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1248082 I thought Mario Ojemudia was also in the game, but he wasn't on the list. When asked "What is one early-season matchup - player vs. player - that is a can't-miss showdown this fall?" Brian Perroni of Rivals said Ondre Pipkins vs Evan Boehm. http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1248457 Hopefully a stellar performance by Ondre could help boost his rankings even more.

I had to check it out for myself and Wayne Morgan's scout profile actually does say he is the #95 ranked Safety....WTH?

It's funny because the other sites are really high on him (24/7 has him as the #4 CB, but I'm sure that'll change in their updated rankings, Rivals as the #13 CB, and ESPN as #11 CB)

is that just because scout has been updated more recently?

Yeah I guess he must be struggling even worse than I heard. I figured he'd be in the 30's at least.

Do we have any targets or commits in the UA all American game? Maybe all the UA slots have been taken up by future PAC 12 and SEC commits. Might as well be called the Under Armor All future SEC game.

On ESPN they have Gant listed as a WR and not a safety. Any news on him being recruited as a WR. This would make sense if were back in for Armani and/or Yuri.
