"The face of the operation is Briatore (referred to exclusively in the film by his colleagues and angry, chanting detractors as "Flavio"), an anthropomorphic radish who spends most of his time at QPR plotting to fire all of the managers."
A few minor recruiting notes
I read this in the local paper today. It looks like Sione Houma played rather well in his first game as a senior.
Glad to see Mr. Houma doing well. 95 yard kick return for TD, and 112 yards on 16 carries. Not a bad day of work.
Especially for a fullback.
For those equally obsessed, here's an additional Highland High recap. This article credits Houma with an 88 yd KO return, which is labeled as both "blistering" and "impressive". Also, Sione is quoted briefly: "'It felt good... We just stayed quiet and let the scoreboard do the talking.'" Nice start to the season for our future FB.
I just moved out to Utah and saw his game highlights the other day. It was an impressive return, but I wouldn't say he really had break away speed. I'm going to try to make it out to one of his games and get a better report.
THE_KNOWLEDGE knows all.
Don't mean to highjack the thread but a META problem has wiped out my points so I can't post topics. Finally got to see Amara Darboh highlights courtesy of 24/7.
He's on commitment watch for Sept. 3, visit so check it out:
I'm not sure if this hurts or helps our rankings, but Rivals includes Jeremy Clark as part of the 2012 class. Regardless, I still think Texas would be ahead of us.
I think Florida St will end up with the #1 class especially with the Miami scandal.
I'll try to get some video of him playing in the next couple weeks.
Don Bosco Prep (Yuri Wright) vs St. Edward (Kyle Kalis). This game is Oct. 8 in West Point, New York.
Great venue to watch football - and a big time HS matchup - I'll be tempted to run over there for a look that day
Hoke is friggin crushing the competition
Bad ass pic. Dumbass should slowed up.
Like a good agent, state farm is there.
If the person driving survived this they should be counting their blessings because he/she is complete moron.
And if the person didn't...DARWIN AWARD
The concrete crushed the frame like an egg.
he could have survived that..crazy
You mean "she."
at fault here, and I'm no structural engineer, but damn, that thing seems to topple pretty easily. Inspired by the design of AT-AT Walkers? Glad to read below everyone walked away unharmed.
Wayyyyy OT but I had a question for anyone. I was at the Kenny Chesney concert at Ford Field and during the song Boys of Fall he had a U of M football player on the stage with him. I thought it was Denard but we were so high up in the nosebleeds it was hard to make out and some other friends I was with didnt think it was him. If someone can confirm or deny it'd be much appreciated.
You should not be posting about being at a Kenny Chesney concert. The man is 40 and still wears puka shells. Very State-Like.
If it's good enough for Desmond it's good enough for the rest of us
Pretty certain the guy in the white truck is toast.
The depth perception is kind of tough to make out, Even if the structure crushed only 3-6 inches of the driver's side of the cab, if the guy was wearing his seat belt, the shoulder strap would have crushed him like a bug.
The only way he might have survived is if he wasn't wearing his seat belt or undid it as he was stopping his truck and the falling structure grazed his left shoulder. Even then, the cab roof would have to tear on impact in order to save him. Otherwise he's got a load of bad news on his head.
I hope he was ready to meet his Maker.
Excellent analysis Johnson.
worthy of a Darwin Award.
I stand corrected.
you can see the door open right before it collapses.

...430 in the morning and I'm squinting at a low res. security cam video trying to make out whether a guys brains got splattered or not.
Apparently he was able to get his seat belt unbuckled in time.
At approximately 3 PM, Tuesday, July 2, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling a new travel trailer, hit the corner of the Texas State Bank Drive-In on Tenaha Street, causing the complete awning to come to the ground. Luckily, the driver of the Dodge, Mickey Miller, of Garrison and his 10 year old son were able to exit their vehicle uninjured. According to Miller he was circling the bank to park on the other side when the corner of his travel trailer caught the corner of the bank awning. Next thing he heard was a rumble as the awning started falling against his driver's side door. Somehow he was able to unbuckle the seat beat and exit the other side of his truck as it was falling.
It seems like the roof fell way to fast for him to unbuckle and exit. You can see his body getting jarred from the impact, then the roof is immediately hitting. I'm guessing he got lucky and the roof just missed him.
And State's recruiting class fell out of the top 25.
You're right Elmer...he's one lucky dude.
Isn't this more of a "high school football tv schedule" thread? Recruiting notes seems to insinuate there would be some recruting notes.
I had a few more tidbits about recruiting that I was going to include, but it all got deleated right before I posted it. I just threw together a condensed version because I didn't want to go through the trouble of typing up the same exact thing again.
Don't forget to highlight your entire post and "Ctrl + C" it before you post it. That way, if something goes wrong with posting (and it invariably does), you can just paste the post and laugh at the universe.
is Richardson covering Burbridge?
Note that we are the only non-Southern school in the top 10 in recruiting right now. Be thankful that we have a broad recruiting reach. Most schools in our region have next to no chance to putting together a national title-caliber roster.
