For those of you that want to keep up with our commits, here are three prominent high school games involving Michigan commits/targets: Colerain (Joe Bolden) vs Cocoa High School, this game is next Sunday at 3 pm on Espn. http://www.espnmediazone3.com/us/2011/08/02/second-annual-espn-high-sch…. ...When asked about what game he is most interested to see this year Steve Wiltfong of 247 sports said "Detroit Cass Tech vs. Farmington Hills Harrison on Aug. 27. In the most recent Sports Illustrated, they listed five high school games to watch this year and one of them was Don Bosco Prep (Yuri Wright) vs St. Edward (Kyle Kalis). For those equally obsessed, here's an additional Highland High recap. This article credits Houma with an 88 yd KO return, which is labeled as both "blistering" and "impressive". Also, Sione is quoted briefly: "'It felt good... We just stayed quiet and let the scoreboard do the talking.'" Nice start to the season for our future FB.

All Day

I just moved out to Utah and saw his game highlights the other day. It was an impressive return, but I wouldn't say he really had break away speed. I'm going to try to make it out to one of his games and get a better report.

Great venue to watch football - and a big time HS matchup - I'll be tempted to run over there for a look that day

Wayyyyy OT but I had a question for anyone. I was at the Kenny Chesney concert at Ford Field and during the song Boys of Fall he had a U of M football player on the stage with him. I thought it was Denard but we were so high up in the nosebleeds it was hard to make out and some other friends I was with didnt think it was him. If someone can confirm or deny it'd be much appreciated.

Pretty certain the guy in the white truck is toast.

The depth perception is kind of tough to make out, Even if the structure crushed only 3-6 inches of the driver's side of the cab, if the guy was wearing his seat belt, the shoulder strap would have crushed him like a bug.

The only way he might have survived is if he wasn't wearing his seat belt or undid it as he was stopping his truck and the falling structure grazed his left shoulder. Even then, the cab roof would have to tear on impact in order to save him. Otherwise he's got a load of bad news on his head.

I hope he was ready to meet his Maker.

Truck/Travel Trailer Crashes Texas State Bank- July 2, 2008

At approximately 3 PM, Tuesday, July 2, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling a new travel trailer, hit the corner of the Texas State Bank Drive-In on Tenaha Street, causing the complete awning to come to the ground. Luckily, the driver of the Dodge, Mickey Miller, of Garrison and his 10 year old son were able to exit their vehicle uninjured.

According to Miller he was circling the bank to park on the other side when the corner of his travel trailer caught the corner of the bank awning. Next thing he heard was a rumble as the awning started falling against his driver's side door. Somehow he was able to unbuckle the seat beat and exit the other side of his truck as it was falling.

Apparently he was able to get his seat belt unbuckled in time.

Note that we are the only non-Southern school in the top 10 in recruiting right now. Be thankful that we have a broad recruiting reach. Most schools in our region have next to no chance to putting together a national title-caliber roster.
