A few interesting recruiting notes (3-10-12 edition)
Since the first one was pretty successful, I thought I'd continue it. Only a few updates tonight, but one is of particular interest to Michigan fans.
-I STILL hear that Ty Isaac will be off the board soon, and all signs point to Michigan. Look, I get that Tremendous spoke with him personally and he said he's no where near a decision. The people I talk to about this stuff who have connections in the area, all say that it shouldn't be much longer at all. (Also, there was a paid site that said something similar in the last day or so, and someone mentioned it to me. I don't have a subscription to that site, I can only comment on what was passed on to me. But, if everyone will look back in previous threads, I've been saying this about Ty for over a week now, well before the paid site posted this)
-From people that know about these things, Kendal Fuller's recruitment could be more open than had previously been expected. With his family history at Va Tech being what it is, that seemed like a slam dunk. While they are still assumed to be the favorites, it's no where near the margain that it once was.
-FS Antonio Conner (one of my favorite recruits this year and if you haven't seen his tape, do yourself a favor and look it up) appears to be an Alabama lean at this point. There seems to be a heavy stance by his family to keep him in state, which always seems to be the case in Mississippi. He's a unique talent, who reminds me a great deal of the late Sean Taylor.
- QB Max Browne is racking up the offers, and the 5 star Washington product is sure to make someones class. Despite my opinions of his flaws, coaches are falling over themselves to get in line for one of his official visits.Look for him to stay on the west coast, with Stanford and USC being his primary targets.

I don't know. I think Issacs could see some early playing time as long as he is running behind Patrick Krugler.
I see what you did there
That's like the sixth time I've seen you use that (incredibly original and hilarious) joke. Time for some new material, maybe?
I will continue to point out horrible misspellings of recruits' names until the horrible misspellings stop. It's pretty disrespectful, in my opinion, not to learn how to spell someone's name. And "Issacs" isn't anywhere close to "Isaac."
Pointing the misspellings out is fine. I'm just saying the "I've never heard of that guy with the misspelled name. In fact, I can't even find any info on him. I doubt he's going to get any playing time over the guy with the correctly-spelled name." bit is a little long in the tooth.
I saw Antonio Connor last year vs Hoover , man is he good. The thought of Bama with him, Landon Collins and HCD is sickening. That being said, South Panola kids are very hard to pull from Ole Miss
If Isaac commits tomorrow, it will make my day. I hope what you're saying is true.
Also since Stanford just got a verbal from VA QB Ryan Burns is USC out in front for Browne? With Nussmeier at Bama what kind of shot do you think they have? BTW RDT, love the national updates, keep em' coming
No way Browne goes to Stanford. Burns was their first-choice guy, and they have a small class (16-18) projected--so no chance of taking two QBs, I would assume.
I'd guess a USC/'bama/Oklahoma battle with USC in front.
Hmm please tell us more about this Isaac kid...i believe any positive news I hear...
/not sarcasm. ready to drink kool aid tonight bc I am not hooking up with the girl I was hoping to so cheer me up....
Speak for yourself.
Oh Magnus, you old dog you!
cutting out a mouth hole of her picture and taping it to your buddies face doesn't count as 'hooking up' magnus. Hehe
I hate having tape on my face.
That's disgusting.
Looked to be having a good time.
If there is one of him dancing at Yost with the Hoke family, I will be feeling very good.
Meyer conversation with aaron bailey, OSU QB recruit
Meyer: Bailey, you need to commit. Braxton Miller might leave early, we'll need someone to step in. I have a feeling you'll get a lot more playing time than expected.
Bailey: Cool coach, thanks. I think I will.
Meyer: Good.
Meyer goes down the hall to the spring practice field and finds the QBs
Meyer: Miller! You plan on staying all four years right?
Miller: Yes coach
Meyer: Good.

To finish the conversation.
Meyer: Hey, Brax. After next season we will need you to clear out of your apt/dorm and turn in your textbooks (wink wink). I think I can get you some game tickets.
I really appreciate your input on this site. Maybe Brian can add your blog to the list on this site. Especially since the Michigan Football Recruiting blog doesn't exist anymore. Thanks for the update. I look forward to reading more of them.

It's always great to see recruiting info from the perspective of someone who is connected but comes from a different fanbase. You've been pretty correct so far; I hope you are correct on Isaac.

I copied the link and pasted it into my url...
Yea, Drake Johnson that would be a nice storey for him but, I hope we land Isaac none the less. Just in case!
Well, Isaac stayed true to his word and did not commit.
Do we know this as fact? I didn't think he'd commit this weekend, either, based on earlier "evidence" that he has other visits he wants to take first, but nothing wrong with hoping anyway.

Hard to blame him for wanting to check out USC with their running back lineage. And I can't imagine the Condoms don't have a lot of talent in their o line pipeline as well.
