Festivities for Saturday Morning

Submitted by mocomber on

Now that we are under a week away, I was wondering if they had released information on when the stadium rededication was starting on Saturday morning. Since the difference between 2:30 and 3 could mean two more beers, it'd be nice to be able to show up "on time."

Oh, and sorry about ignoring your actual question. When I don't know the answer to something, I tend to use humor to mask my ignorance and weaknesses (see Bobby Hill from King of the Hill).

Anyway, I plan on being at the stadium at 2:45, just as a safe bet. I don't want to miss any of the festivities. If you want to find me, look for the lone bearded male in the student section, Sec. 30, Row 23. I'll be wearing Maize (dur!).

Bobby: Can I keep my new gun in my room?
Hank: Sure.
Bobby: Can I keep the bullets in my pocket?
Hank: If you want.
Bobby: Can I put a gun rack on my bike.
Hank: Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to ask me that?

From the David Brandon interview on this week's show, it sounds like there will be a fairly extensive pre-game dedication ceremony.  He mentioned a special marching band show and plenty of "goosebump" moments.  My guess is 2:30 start, but I'll be on the lookout for firm details.

Get in way early!  You can always make up the difference in beers during the next tailgate, but there's only going to be one Michigan Stadium re-dedication.

Gates open @ 1:30, the victors walk should be sometime between 1 and 1:30.

I'm planning on being there for the victors walk, and then going right into the stadium to take in al the changes, get a crapload of pictures, etc.

These re-dedications happen once, maybe twice in a lifetime.
