If I'm Schlissel, I'm really thinking about getting this thing done ASAP. The news cycle on this thing is getting as toxic as it can be. This gets taken care of tomorrow after the public, the students, and the regents all pretty much turn on the guy, this isn't a story anymore.
Say Schlissel gets up to the rostrum and fires DB, puts in an interim AD, and moves right along. The story is over. No more public comments, this is our acting AD now, we're doing a search, and we'll have a new AD in due time. DB keeps it going in the press, it's on him playing the victim, not the University. He looks like a fool, Michigan comes out looking professional for once.
Enough is enough. It's clear what the next step is--and someone just needs to pull the trigger.

I'd like to see Brandon let go, but let's remember we are talking about a guy who really has given a lot back to the school.
It should be done in a dignified way, and with the Michigan spirit of fair play and careful thought so that the University's values are demonstrated for all the world to see.
In other words, fire the fucker after having him twist in the wind publicly, the way he did with RR, and hold a press conference outlining his failings on television.
