"I feel like we're right there. We're not quite there yet. I think it was a big deal when a guy like Taylor Lewan who could've been the number one pick (in the NFL Draft) -- and I'm confident he would've been the number one pick -- comes back to play for a coach like Brady Hoke. That says enough in itself to pass up the opportunity to be the No. 1 pick the in the draft, which is everyone's dream to come back and help the team. I feel like he has changed the entire culture of Michigan.

I know it has been duscussed much here, but I really like how he put this when asked what he thought Hoke has brought to the program. When you have players of Lewan's quality passing up that sort of opportunity to get one last go-around with the coach for whom they play, that speaks to the ability to retain talent (as least as long as the NCAA allows anyway), which can only help a program. The willingness of the experienced guys to stay and lead as they have is awesome to see and a tribute to that culture.
