Favorite unfulfilled OMG IMPORTANT threads?

Now that we've turned to another miserably long off-season, which like last year's is sure to filled with a minimum of 1800 posts starting with "I'm bored and there's no football so I started this thread" threads, I thought is would be interesting to look to last year's off-season and see which favorite subjects got beaten into the ground, yet turned out to mean little. Those that seemed so important to posters at the time, and provoked so many arguments, yet turned out to be rather irrelevant. I'll start. My favorite was the "OMG Denard is so fast that he should start over Tate, and he is certain to be the answer because Tate is small, and by virtue of his pigmentation, sure to be somewhat slow." Note: I foresee this thread being repeated many times this off-season, with the insertion of Gardner where Denard's name once was.
