Favorite play from 2009 season

Just curious to know what everyone's favorite play was from this past season. I would have to say that mine was Tate's fourth down TD run against Notre Dame.

The game winner v. ND is a great choice but my favorite moment from that game, and the season, was Tate's run straight up the middle v. ND -- I was was just shocked to see a Michigan quarterback pull that off.

I have different pictures of that leaping TD as my background picture at work and also on my laptop! I think that's one of my favorite M plays of ALL TIME.

Oh, and Forcier to Matthews. Obvz.

I gotta say, the 2 point conversion after that, where Moosman literally throws the entire pile into the end zone was tops for me.

My wife isn't much of a football fan; primarily because she doesn't understand all the rules, positions, plays, etc. and thinks it's just too complex to really follow.
She kind of barely gets the offense, mostly because she can just focus on the quarterback, and from watching him at least follow the plays as they develop.

She likes this, and over the last couple years has incrementally watched more and more football with me (though my own football watching budget is very limited). She's always just given up on the defense though, because "it's just a bunch of guys running around and then someone tackles the guy with the ball".

This year I told her she should try to pay attention to the defense because it can be just as exciting as the offense. She was skeptical, but after the beginning of the year I told her all she had to was to focus on one player at a time. Try just watching #55.

She loved it. She watched the Tivo'ed games with me just to see what he'd do, bitched at all the no-call holds by the blind refs, you name it.

Thank you Brandon Graham for helping my wonderful wife enjoy football more.

Her best quote was "Is he that good, or are the rest of them that bad?" (both the opponents offense AND the rest of our defense)

yes.

Love & Hate are horns on the same goat.

For sheer drama, Savoy's drop in the endzone against Notre Dame is one of my favorites. I know, 'WTF kind of favorite play is that!?', but with no timeouts left, Tate scrambling and impossibly getting a pass away to a presumably open Savoy-DROPPED!!! McDonough roars- the crowd roars, we all roar-OMG!!!- the freakin' highs and lows of that play were fantastic. Of course it wouldn't have been as pleasantly memorable had it not proceeded the completion to Mathews for the game winner.

1) Tate's first TD pass, where he motioned Hemingway to head towards the end zone, and they cashed it in. Everything was still pure, and hope was as high as it has been in quite some time. Everyone felt good about everything.

2) Denard's 1st run. Our first look at Shoelace-porn, if you will. I think the CIL had about 6,000 WTF!!! posts, and about 12,000 SHOELACE!!!! posts, all at the same time. Me, I laughed for about 15 minutes straight, still in disbelief about what I had just witnessed.

It was my first game ever in the Big House and we were playing Indiana. We get the ball late in the fourth and Tate drives all the way down the field. Its been cloudy and raining all day, but then the sun bursts out, Tay Odoms gets behind the secondary and Tate drops it in for the touchdown. An amazing ending to my first game there. Theres nothing like it in the world
