i find this extremely interesting
i may have altered the title

...talks about how UConn hasn't been in contact and how they're out. (HT: UMHoops)
Jalen, Burke, and Simmons.
Mike Hart the heavy favorite in the trolling competition
just what the Pistons need: a third string center. Joe Dumars was replaced by a mean ol' alien a few years back you guys.
this would be a close approximation of hypothetical graduation speech
no you guys they're just super pumped about COLLLLLLLLLLLLEGE
not a surprise
premature congrats. One thing we can be sure of: he'll take fewer asinine penalties than Abdelkader
Thanks to ugly transitions between Fulmer/Kiffin/Dooley/Davis, Tennessee is on the edge of APR penalties for football.

Independent athletes opening ceremonies:
Closing ceremonies so I can stop seeing and hearing about the Olympics. Get off my lawn, Olympics.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
I hope you are joking. Its a shame that we don't celebrate the Olympics more. It is a joyous occasion here all international strife is put aside to see some amazing feats. And there are those like you who don't appreciate what it means to the world.

"U Mad Bro?"
Nobody has to love the Olympics. I don't care for them. I understand that they mean alot for many people, but I'm not one of them. It's an athletic competition....in the grand scheme of things it doesn't mean much IMO. The guy just expressed that he didn't care for the Olympics. I don't see the big deal in that. Inevitably, it's going to get negged in a thread about the Olympics, and it probably should be because it's just like those posters that don't like the NBA and complain about it in an NBA thread. Silly. But you don't have to get on your soapbox when someone expresses that they don't like the Olympics....as if it's morally wrong or something.
They blow and they are all cheating. For the love of God get that crap off my channels. Who the f would watch girls basketball? I need some American football stat. I don't care about the international communities. Don't try to think you are better than those of us that don't care. I travel overseas almost annually, because my wife is from Brazil. I have been to Europe, Middle East, and Africa. I am not special or better than those that haven't. The thing is soccer blows unless it is a South American team (Europeans fall like they were shot if they get touched). So take the "it is so special bull$@t" and keep it. Get off my lawn olympites! Oh and go USA!

I love their dancing, too, but the write up from that article talks about how happy the marathoner is to be there.... despite the fact that the commentary on the accompanying video clearly states he is sorting out a visa issue and is still stuck in the U.S.

Florida Wolverines have dreadlocks...
I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics and really only care about team sports and a few other events. But in the last Winter Olympics, I was ecstatic and elated when Parise tied the game up and sent us into OT with Canada.
What happened after that is my least favorite Olympic moment.
Kerri Strug sticking the landing on one foot to give the US the gold.
In the 1984 Olympic games in LA, her body giving up in the final of the marathon and still finishing. Not sure to embed
and that hockey team in Lake Placid.
P.S. Didn't much care for the dancing independents. It was a little over the top for me.

Yeah, i thought it was a bit idiotic to be honest.
Right up there with Ryan Lochte's ridiculous mouthpiece.
Best moments for me are anything involving the Nordic female athletes.
Biggest upset. Ever.
Kerelin was not only defending 3 time gold medalist, he hadn't lost an international match in 20 years.

Franz Klammer winning the men's downhill at Innesbruck in 1976. He was fearless, careening down the mountain.
Canoeing rivalries and table tennis between powerhouse communist states has been wonderful to watch. Not to mention the outstanding coverage provided NBC and its sponsors.
I love how a Chinese woman can beat Phelps time, when three weeks ago she couldn't get within a quarter pool length. I love how the gymnastics is won by a vote of points. I love how ping pong stops my chance to watch anything else on that channel. Please stop!

Dave Wottle coming out of nowhere in the 1972 800m where he moves from last place to first in the final 200m to win the gold medal.
Doesn't get any better than that...

I've always enjoyed this one. This is Australia's first ever Winter Olympic gold medal:
