Favorite Michigan hats
With Harbaugh bringing back the Bo hat, what are some of your favorite hats?
My list:
Vintage Bo hat (New era pro model)
Harbaugh Bo hat (New era 59Fifty)
90's Lloyd Carr hat (Nike coaches snapback)
2006 Lloyd Carr hat (Nike sideline hat)
Michigan hockey hat (Nike turnstyle cap)
Wolverbear hat ('47 brand slouch hat)
Block M Wolverine hat ('47 franchise hat)
1997 National Champions hat (retro snapback)
UTL knit hat (Adidas)
Bob Ufer style vintage pom knit hat
I bought the 59Fifty one online, thinking it was an average Bo hat. Obviously it's made for a different kind of owner (somehow it makes my very large head look very small), but I've bent the rim and wear it anyway.
The key to getting the 59Fifty "just right" is to get the hat thoroughly wet and then wear it until it dries. The wool will shrink to fit your noggin. Disclaimer:YMMV :)

I've taken it on my last 5 deployments. Love it.

Go Blue
Back in the 90's, lost my favorite Michigan hat.
Basically a Bo-style hat (blue with yellow stitched block M), but with a brown suede bill and brown leather adjustment strap in back. I believe it also had MICHIGAN stitched in little letters over or next to the opening in the back.
That was an awesome hat. So bummed when I lost it.
My favorite current hat is my fitted block M cap from the 90s. Pretty disgusting, though, so my wife hates when I wear it.
Had one in HS that was close to this, but I think the block M was in the front and a script Michigan was on the side- it was solid back in 1992.
I then went to the stretchfit caps (Lloyd era M caps)
I still stick with the strectch fit caps. I've had 3 of these: likely my all time favorite.
cannot stand snap backs- had those all thru Little League, they don't fit properly. velcro is dumb IMO and the straps are even worse. Stretch fit is the only way to go.
I also have a cap from the 100th OSU M game in 2003 with the final score on the side and this on the front:

Before this hat, I refused to wear anything other than the Block M on Blue.

mid 2000's Lloyd Carr hat (Nike flex fit)
I lost mine during the 2012 Sugar Bowl to an attractive Tulane student. Irreplaceable
I'm a big fan of New Era 39thirty. I'm rocking a navy 39thirty New Era with maize block M all the time these days. I like the 59fifty look too but there's no New Era hat size that fits me well so it's either too tight for comfort or a bit too loose.
