Favorite M Football Pics Thread - Historical Edition

Submitted by Max on

The success (and front-page mention) of the last picture thread, which focused on pictures from the 2011 season, inspired me to start another - this time with pictures spanning as far back as Fielding H. Yost. Enjoy, and please post your own favorites!

Wow, great work with the pics. David Molk looks like a little kid next to Jake Long. Also, someone needs to post the Bo-Woody shaking hands picture.

Thanks for leaving some pictures for us to post......

I now know why Leaf failed in the NFL. He could not successfully recover from the psychological damage resulting from his venture into Jurassic Park. While Charles Woodson thrived and was able to save Lex and Tim.

but I did find this posted by MaizeNBrew, by way of EDSBS and UniWatch, while I was searching for a 1969 photo I remember seeing somewhere.

Apparently these were painted in 1969, and there is a postcard for every major conference from that era, which are linked to on UniWatch. Also, yeah, some of the portrayals are (at least) kind of racist, but I guess that's 1969 for you.

Where is Charles' interception?  Also, you could use a picture of the Mad Magicians.

Anyone know how to save these pictures on an iPhone so that you can use them as a background? I like the pictures but can't find any of them on the internet, so if anyone knows how and could explain that would be great. I just got this phone so it's still a little new to me.

One way (probably not the most efficient):

1) E-mail the pictures to yourself.

2) Open the e-mail on your iPhone

3) Tap and hold on the desired picture

4) Tap "Save Image"

5) In your camera roll, select the image and tap the icon in the lower-left corner that looks like a rectangle with an arrow shooting out.

6) Tap "Use as Wallpaper"

Scott Dreisbach to Mercury Hayes. Scoreboard reads 0:00 on the clock. 4th and 10 from the 15 yard line. Michigan down 12-17 to Ronde and Tiki Barber and the rest of the VA Cavs. (That's Ronde getting beat)
