Fanatics & Karma

Ok, so I knew -something- was coming sooner or later. I didn't quite know what but it wasn't like I wasn't prepared for more dumb shit. But prepared or not, I am still pissed off to the point that there is a bit of fire in my blood.

Now it's just football to some but to many it is ridiculously personal. I think I fall the somewhat over the top type as far as fandom goes. If I were out and about and by chance I ran into any of these free press clowns I would be telling a flat out lie if I told you punching one of these assholes wasn't in my thoughts and that there would be a 50/50 chance it happens.

But unlike me & my half a brain, many others take there fandom too extreme measures of action. And being that we have one of the biggest fan-bases in the entire country, it would surprise me if sometime in the future you here about a person & or a group of persons inflicting physical harm to one of these writers.

Some people are crrrAzaay. They see red when you play with their fragile emotional state. With all these bullshit problems the DFP created through manipulation of something some find more than near and dear to their heart, more like the center of their everyday existence I wouldn't feel very safe in public, especially around AA during events if I were in that circle of idiots. I am not condoning violence, but I am a firm believer in karma, and if tomorrow I woke up and saw an article stating someone mugged and broke Drew or Mike Rosenbergs nose I have to admit I wouldn't blink and eye. You reap what you sow.

But I think in the end nobody would really care. I like the dolphins sign. I saw a cheap Rosenberg punches babies t-shirt at the baby-seal game. I liked it.

I watch you comment a lot on here BlockM & honestly you remind me of countless other people on here who judge quickly with smartass comments without reading what was actually written. I never said anything that resembles - ""Your questionable journalism practices mean you probably deserve physical harm." In fact I said quite the opposite. I stated I do not condone violence. What I did say and let me try to clarify it for you-was simply that karma has a fucked up way of getting people back. In other words watch what bridges you burn because eventually you might burn the wrong one. In the case of sports fanatics & fanaticism in general-pissing on 120 year old tradition can seriously put you in jeopardy with the wrong folks. My statement about my take is that I simply do not really care if it does because I feel no pity for them. They dug that hole & irresponsibly created this mess. If you took that I want to go out ad beat the shit out of them then thats just stupid.

Wow! I bleed blue, but come on. Seek counseling. The cheeky witty verbal abuse and rants are funny and interesting. However, this appears to be over the line at best, if not subtly instigating violence at its worst.
Comments like this unfairly represent all of us fans, as fanatics. Now that you vented and may have thought this notion once, publicly retract that insane comment now that rational thought has prevailed.

I think it would be smart not to suggest or even hint at physically harming Sharp, Rosenberg, etc. Unfortunately, there are people out there who might take it too far.

And if Morgan Trent's statements were "unnecessary" because they "do no good", then I would say statements like these fall under the same category.
