Did anybody else get the repeated verification blasts this morning like I did? At 5:39am they started innocently enough with a simple request to verify my tag. Then another came...then another and another they didn't stop until 6:39am at which time I had gotten over 150 such verification requests (and the email addresses of the other lucky 150 winners in the verification overload sweepstakes)
Now I get this email which is pretty funny given the circumstances:
Dear Sir/Madam
If you were unfortunate enough to receive a number of duplicate authentication mails from the Michigan Fancam this morning, my sincere apologies for the irritation and inconvenience.
Due to the unprecedented popularity of the Michigan Fancam, a number of users did not receive their initial verification mails as the servers were simply overloaded.
In an effort to resend the affected mails, the program we use went into a loop and some users were sent a large number of duplications.
Although the problem has been solved and controls have been put in place to ensure it will not be repeated, it is a source of great embarrassment to me.
We're proud and privileged to have been asked to provide The University of Michigan with this unique way of capturing a truly memorable occasion and would not want any actions on our part to affect your memory and experience of the event.
If you have any questions at all, about the duplicate emails or anything else, please feel free to contact me.
Kindest regards

Trust me Tinus.....your emails did NOTHING to "affect my memory and experience of the event".
