Seeds don't mean much in hockey, other than which team gets to set their lines in a possible game seven.

Melrose picks Chicago to take it all.. but said he would not be surprised at all if the wings took it and actually likes the wings just as much. The only question i got is how will Jimmy do? i'm thinking he'll do good but you never know.. Phoenix is a nice story but they definitely got a bad draw in round 1 lol.

I think the Wings, since they are now healthy, have as good a shot as any. If the Caps get healthy (this is for you Boutros) they will be tough to beat. I'd take a Penguins/Wings final for the rubber match.

Seriously, thank you for posting this. I'm so sick of people "negbanging" people like crazy just because they aren't Red Wings fans. This is NOT a Red Wings board. The answer to your question is that they say they will cheer for the Caps because Ovechkin is not Crosby. If the Red Wings do end up playing the Caps in the finals I can guarantee that they will change their tune on him. The problem with the Ovechkin lovers who aren't Caps fans is that they don't actually watch him play entire games. They watch highlights on YouTube and SportsCentre.

I really want the wings to win the cup but if they get knocked out I will root for the caps only because I want to see Brendan Morrison win one before it's to late.

I see this series going Wings in 4 or 6. If the Wings can win tonight in PHX, a sweep could be in store. The real question, however, is: When the Hawks crash and burn, will the shops in town accept the returned merchandise?
