He was hired last year, so he's been here almost a year. Seems like a lateral move for him, but we did hire him away from Miami so I guess its not too surprising.

There is a lot of potential for that program, and they will be good, but they are also somewhat limited. Their facilities are very lacking, their is no on-campus stadium. The game-day atmosphere is horrible, and they have always had an issue attracting fans. In terms of finacial resources, they don't have as much as you would think, and certainitly nowhere near what Georgia had.

even on a down year. Imagine what they actually have coaching. Southern Florida athletes are no joke. They bring attitude and fast twitch athleticism to the sport.

Harbaugh hired Matt Doherty last year. Doherty left Miami because he knew Al Golden was finished.
You're thinking of Jimmy Dougherty who was hired this year (and was almost hired last year).

Sad to see him leave, he was just hired. Congrats to him, makes sense for him to go back to his alma matter. But, I trust that we will find the right guy to be his replacement.

Bush is a defensive analyst, and will have more of a role in breaking down film Michigan film and opponents' film. Doherty's job was as a recruiting coordinator, so he will be looking at high school film, contacting players, arranging visitors, compiling recruiting information, etc.
