Chunkums is right at the top (and this is great as always), but there's also been CRex and Hunter S Jhackney, probably a couple others I'm forgetting.

Some pretty awesome posters have come around these parts.

I did make a run last weekend across the lake to look up close at the Leamington Ontario windmill farm (you can just barely see them on the horizon from the cottage) cause it was hot and the water was calm.  That was a fun trip.  Interesting Canadian factoid: those 25 windmills provide 25% of all of Ontario's electric power.

I'm actually going the other way this weekend.  Heading to Vermillion (lake town outside of between the islands and Cleveland) tomorrow then Cleveland itself on Saturday then back home.  I've actually never taken my boat into Cleveland so this should be interesting.  May & June SUCKED for boating but July & August have been fantastic so this will be my big trip of the season.

Shrute was really good at finding appropriate GIFs that others made.  Chunkums creates his own which to me, puts him in whole different category of excellence.

I often wonder when people are regular posters and then just stop one day (with no obvious reason, meltdown or banning) what happened to them.  I think about myself and if I was to be badly injured or pass away it's not like my wife would go on the blog and post "he's gone".  I would just not be here anymore.

Ok enough of that talk for one night.  I would rather think about my boat trip tomorrow or what the team had for dinner this evening now that the chef is gone.

if i ever got down to cleveland, and thank you for the kind word.  more likely though is a trip to AA (still a season ticket holder) for football.  right now it looks like the 4 oldest sons' football committments will make all but the ohio game impossible to make.  maybe we can synchronize our watches to meet at the game in november.   hopefully a glorious saturday afternoon where the proper spin of the football globe is restored.

i have little doubt of that.   i also have little doubt i will have no trouble dealing the tickets.  actually, an old fraternity brother of mine has been the greatest at getting us extra tix through the years so i try to offer him first pick of any games he wants, then other friends get to choose.

i'm sure he's passed away by now, but when we went out to see the rest of the guys play in the rose bowl in (i think) 1981 we went to his bar.  the guy was an absolute deity as it relates to drinking beer faster than the speed of light.  and he'd sit at his piano and play funny songs - he took a liking to us because we had a boatload of new material he hadn't heard before.

To get the gifs, I do one of the following:

1. Use gifcam to capture the frames from a video

2. Download a pre-existing gif

3. Create the individual frames (Pokemon, Final Fantasy)

Next comes the process of editing the individual layers on GIMP (which is free). I'm sure you could do it on photoshop or any number of other expensive programs, but I'm cheap. At first it takes a loooooong time, but eventually you get the hang of it. Regarding monetization, perhaps, but I like education too much to abandon that.
