I know it's not a night game comment, but anyone else get a sick flashback watching rich rod do well in the preseason then flop in conference play? Glad we aren't the victims anymore

His team took an 18th ranked team Into OT and lost on terrible luck that led to an interception. Their QB threw for nearly 500 yards and their defense was at least good enough to keep them in the game. You cannot compare him this year at Arizona with him at Michigan. Honestly, if Zona played us right now it'd be a toss up.give Rod some credit for doing a hell of a job with a shitty program.

Actually, it seems he's doing pretty well.  Zona hung around with Stanford until overtime and put up 48 on them, which is more than we ever put up on a ranked team with Rich Rod.  Certainly never in his first year with us.

He has an experienced, senior QB, which he never had here.  Arizona's offensive improvement is remarkable.  The defense though - yikes.   They've played five games against FBS competition and have given up 600 yards in three of them.

I've never really liked WV much, but I hope they run roughshod over the Big XII. I hate all the teams/fans that say that this style of play will never work in a real conference. Granted, WV sucks at defense, but their offense can and will score on anyone. Including Texas and Oklahoma. I'd like to see them play Florida/Bama.

I think they'll struggle to win in the Big 12 too. Here's how their defense has done so far:

17 total drives:

  • 10 touchdowns
  • 2 missed field goals
  • 2 punts
  • 1 interception
  • 1 end of half
  • 1 stopped on downs

That is not good. And it's not as if their offense is giving the defense short fields--they're giving up over 160 yards/ quarter.

look legit this year. WIth that said Texas did give up around 405 yards to Ok State last week in their win but Geno Smith and this offense look terrifying.

Braxton miller has gotten injured in 3 games this year. It's terrible to see any players get injured. I really think that coaching staff should be more careful with what and when they call those designed runs because he's in danger of a serious injury after having recurring issues week after week.

Dear Al Borges...I hope you're watching OSU/Nebraska

We HAVE to steal that QB Counter that OSU is running with Miller. It's just like that delayed HB counter that MSU and ND love to run, but just don't give it to the RB, use him as a lead blockers and led Denard run the whole counter.

GREAT design!

I can see why ND wants to join the ACC. Will have to deal with another week of "returning to glory" crap. I hope Stanford can get their shit together and win next week.
