Evening Games Open Thread
Since the afternoon open thread is already buried, I figured I'd start another open thread. Games on tap (via Awful Announcing via formerylanonymous)
Colorado State @ New Mexico (MTN, 6pm)
Vanderbilt @ Tennessee (ESPNU, 7pm)
California @ Stanford (Versus, 7:30pm)
Tulsa @ Southern Mississippi (CBS College Sports, 7:30pm)
Kansas State @ Nebraska (ESPN, 7:45pm)
Kentucky @ Georgia (ESPN2, 7:45pm)
Kansas @ Texas (ABC, 8pm)
Oregon @ Arizona (ABC, 8pm)
Hawaii @ San Jose State (Time Warner-Oceanic, 8pm)
Nevada @ New Mexico State (ESPNU, 10:30pm)
I'll be mostly watching Cal-Stanford and OU-Arizona if I get that game instead of Texas.
Stanford is already up 7-0 on a long run by Gerhart.

I'll be switching back and forth between them, but i'm especially looking forward to the Oregon/Arizona game- should be a good one.

KSU-Neb gets to play UT in the b12 title game.
-----
I hate the Ducks, but I want to see them make it to the Rose Bowl because I am confident that they should beat OSU, can't say the same thing about Arizona.
-----
Punt block by Stanford - kinda cool they have an "Anger" just like iowa.

Nebraska is an interesting one.

I really like Texas. They are one of the few teams I can root for almost unconditionally. Class program, good school, and great traditions.

I agree with you 100 percent, my friend.

Cal-Stanford is looking like a nice game, though I would much rather see Oregon in the Rose Bowl than the fighting Trees.

Agreed, Ducks would be a welcome sight in the Rose Bowl.

In the Oregon game, Arizona punts and a gunner touches the ball inside the 5 but his momentum drag him and the ball into the endzone. The ref originally signals it was downed, but that should be a touchback right?
Edit: After coming back from commercial, they did rule that it was a touchback.

Uh, so, in the Texas game, was that not a horse-collar that caused McCoy to fumble? I had the audio off so I missed what was going on, but that was kind of baffling.

Someone else please be watching the SJSU - Hawaii game. The announcers are hilarious. I feel like I'm watching a high school football game.

Unfortunately I don't have the Time Warner-Oceanic network. Whatever that is.
Did anybody watch the Northwestern-Butler basketball game this week (Thursday I believe)? I felt like that was a high school basketball game. Everytime I've been to Welch-Ryan arena it reminds me of my high school gym (but a little bigger) and then the BTN broadcast seemed like it was a high school broadcasting class production. Albeit in HD.

Anybody still paying attention to the Oregon game?
First Oregon ties it up (24-24) with a field goal that was way too low and bounces off the crossbar and through the uprights.
Then Arizona scores a TD on a 70+ yard screen.
7:30 left in the game. There weren't a lot of huge matchups this week, but a lot of games that turned out to be very good ones.

I really enjoy watching Oregon's offense. It's what I hope our offense will be like next year.
Wow! That final drive of theirs was incredibly reminiscent of ours at MSU - minus the rain.
