I don't like either site knowing the specifics of my various contributions to either. It's part of my mystique. BUT if you compile the more frequent posters on 11w, and dissect their various writing styles, and general disdain for fellow posters, you should be able to find me fairly quickly. Happy Hunting! :)

1. TSIO keeps recruiting him and he gets letters in the mail.

2.  Pocic starts to get pissed off, burns one of the letters and posts the pic on Twitter (tactic learned from LTT).

3.  Pocic starts getting death threats from disgruntled Ohio fans.

There is no bad in this scenario.

Unless Meyer starts pulling out snake oil from every orifice, most of the Ohio's tackle offers have committed to other schools and they may be looking at a big goose egg at tackle (Lisle I thought is an interior guy).

Lets not get too cocky. It's a long way till signing day. He could easily get a case of the "too far from homes" before putting pen to paper and end up at OSU or Illinois. Hell, maybe if we miss out on some "best availables we might end up flipping him with a last second effort. Who knows?

I find it funny that in the same post you say "Let's not get too cocky" and end by saying "we might end up flipping him with a last second effort."

This isn't a Norfleet situation, jumping from Cinci to Michigan. Pocic has offers from everyone, he could go anywhere he wants basically. The definition of cocky is saying we have a chance to flip if we just last second say we want you.

"It's all about the offensive line at LSU and the running game. They love to run the football and it's just a great fit on and off the field for me. I'm glad to have it all done now and I'm really excited about LSU."

I get the feeling Michigan would have been a serious contender for Pocic if we had not filled up because that sounds a lot like Michigan (I guess Les Miles does run LSU with a Schembechler-like mentality).

Pocic was one of the guys who would have been near the very top of my list for wants in this class.  I would have loved for Michigan to get him.  Oh well.  We've still got a good offensive line class, but I think Pocic is going to be a good one.

Now Bucknuts is saying that another OT target, Dorian Johnson, verbaled to WVU.

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Board/120/PA-OT-Dorian-Johnson-to-WVU-98…

I don't subscribe to 247 so I don't know what the thread is saying, but if true, that's a nother major OT target gone for OSU.

Also mentioned in this OSU Scout thread as well.

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=145&f=3155&t=8976096

Regardless of if he has or hasn't, the kid is all over the place for ratings. 247 has him as a 5 star, 12th best player in the country, and 2nd best OT while Rivals has him as a low 4 star, the 33rd overall tackle.

While I'm happy to see OSU getting shafted for O-Line recruits, it is a bit boggling.  Even Buckeyes would concede that - relative to every other position on the field at least - OSU has had a poor record for developing offensive line talent as of late, but at the same time O-Line recruits have to be aware that Jim Bollman no longer is the position coach there.

Urban Meyer isn't an idiot; I'm sure the first thing he shows O-Line recruits is a picture of Bollman working for Boston College and not OSU, and the second thing he shows them is their current depth chart - that's gotta be good for at least 1-2 decent blue-chippers.

Since the '06 draft, the first draft after a year Meyer coached at UF, these have been Florida OL draft picks:

2011: Mike Pouncey- 1st Round, 15th pick

Marcus Gilbert- 2nd round, 63rd pick

Maurice Hurt-7th round, 217th pick

2010: Maurkice Pouncey- 1st round, 18th pick

That's it. So they've had 4 taken, 2 1st rounders, 1 2nd, and 1 7th, all of them in the past 3 years.

For comparison look at the last 6 years for Michigan and how many draft picks there were.  Considering how bad some of those lines were, how thin the depth was, and the known deficiencies in OL development from the end of Carr's tenure the fact that Michigan had more OL drafted from 06-12 puts that number into perspective.
