The eternal question...
So, it's been a really crazy day in Michigan football. The O-Line Tweet was crazy, right? Then there were the blue pants. Let's not even get into Ace's column today (you can find it on the front page, not on the MGoBoard sidebar).
So, what's your favorite outlet mall? I'm a fan of Birch Run. You could smoke in Halo Burger for a long time after most places got rid of indoor smoking. Even though I don't smoke, I appreciate the dedication to tradition.

I'll second Birch Run myself. You can get a ton of crap you don't need from the stores, and round off the day by getting yourself some heart disease by eating at Tony's.
Should a bunch of outlet mall shoppers be giving the AD uniform/fashion advice? I kid, I kid.
I used to let the wife and kids shop there when we lived in Midland years ago. But only if the trip also included a stop in Frankenmuth for me, chicken dinner and a German bier or three...
Now the more eternal question: Zehnders or Bavarian Inn?

Both are good. It's been about 5 years since I've been back to Frankenmuth, though (live in SW Michigan now); we preferred Bavarian Inn over the more-famous Zehnders back then. Frankly, I'd be happy with either some time soon.

No love for Meridian Mall in Okemos?
It's 4am and I'm replying to this thread. I need a new direction in life.
North of NYC, just off the thruway. 1) I taught the daughters of the developers and landlords. 2) The village-sized school across the street hosts (some years) the Science Olympiad state finals. 3) Never ending flow of tour buses up from the city carrying people speaking a thousand different languages but all trundling suitcases which they fill up with purchases.
Birch Run has an Uno's so when driving south down 75 one can call and ask them to prepare and wrap (unbaked) as many pies as one likes. Stop it, pick them up ($15 for a pair or something like that), take them home, bake one or two because you can't resist, and freeze the others.
How long has it been since Uno's was on South U? Miss that place.
As much as I enjoy Birch Run and the ability to sing "Climb Every Mountain" several times as my wife wanders from store to store buying things I am pretty sure we don't need or really want, my new favorite will be the one they are looking to build right here in Romulus, assuming the plans to FINALLY use the vacant land north of Metro don't fall through. This way, we can save gas, or indeed, I can just stay home and fret over what I think the bill might be.
Being a mod, I can only say that I am posting right now because they are reapplying linseed oil to a few of the items in the room, not to mention that it turns out that the breaks are fairly standardized. They are, however, providing coffee and light pastries for breakfast, but we were told to be back and "hard at it" at 9 AM sharp.
Sawgrasss Mills
So I got that goin' for me, which is nice...

I prefer Birch Run just because of Tony's being nearby..
