You know it.  The noon games start at 1 or 2 AM.  That means either a long, long night; or a cutting Saturday night early, trying to take a nap, and waking up in time for kickoff.  Either way, it messes with your Saturdays and Sundays.

If and when to start, stop drinking is an important question as well.

Beilema is on there because he is such a photogenic person. Cbs wanted to increase their "hot female" demographic, so they put Bert on there for pure sex appeal

Not rooting for Ala-Bama, I'd rather have Ala-peanut butter sandwiches, honestly. Still, it'll be tough for Florida to score points today. Here's hoping they do!

You want Stanford to win to ensure that.

If Stanford loses THEN it'll get interesting should Bama or Clemson lose.

If Stanford wins, they're 100% the first team in. You can go back and forth with UNC or OSU should it come down to those two for one spot. THEN, I wouldn't trust the committee.

But if Stanford wins, it's not even a question.

One loss defending national champions coming off a dominating performance against 10th ranked team vs two loss weak PAC 12 champs? if there isn't a shred of doubt in your mind, I question your sanity. There's a strong argument that OSU is the better team.

Few things...

Last year doesn't matter. FSU was an undefeated national champion last year and they were THIRD going into the playoff (while #1 in the AP Poll all year). It's about THIS season.

That was OSU's only ranked win of the season.

Stanford has beaten USC on the road, UCLA at home, and Notre Dame at home. They have more quality wins. AND they would have USC at a neutral site...that's the kicker.

And ND is ranked higher than Michigan if you want to play tit for tat. So Stanford's win may actually be considered the better win...we all know how highly the committee thinks of ND.

we now know that even being undefeated FSU wasn't a top-4 team. They were in only because they were the defending champs with no loss. It didn't matter that they won ugly all year and everyone knew they'd get bounced by Oregon. They couldn't leave them out. Fsu robbed TCU, not osu and the committee will do what they can to get osu in. No loss at 1-2 = 0% chance. Bama/Clem loss = depends on HOW Stanford/UNC wins. Both 1-2 lose = 99% they're in. We want chalk up top and our "victory" today lies with Iowa. msu and osu could definitely get in the way Bama is playing and Clemson tends to Clemson (against a good UNC, too).

underestimate the power of giving a defending champ a shot to repeat. They need help but if Bama AND Clemson lose they're in. If one loses they have a better shot than you're giving them, IMO. If 1 or 2 lose we need Stan or UNC to THROTTLE usc/clem. I'm talking a 30+ point win where the outcome was never in question. Then I think osu is definitely out but a close Clemson loss (possible) doesn't have UNC jump osu. A close Stanford win isn't a guarantee to jump osu should 1 or 2 lose. Again, if they both lose osu is in. I'd bet money on that. It'd be Okla, B1G winner, osu, UNC

This is not the AP poll...your logic doesn't work when it comes to the CFP.

In the AP poll yes, you need someone ahead of you to lose.

Not in the CFB playoff.

If you want to make an AP Poll prediction thread, go ahead. I can't argue with you.

However, all season and most importantly...last year, the CFP rankings PROVED that the previous week DOES NOT MATTER.

Did you know this year teams have LOST and gone UP in the rankings? That would never happen in the AP poll.

OSU doesn't have a 13th game, they don't have a championship, they don't have an added win over a ranked team like Stanford would if it won tonight.

It's not even a debate.

unc has a reasonable shot to beat clemson.  clemson has been very good but they dont dominate up front on both sides of the ball like #1 or championship teams should dominate.  clemson has plenty of athletes and a dangerous QB but unc is built much the same.  i think it could be an entertaining game.

itd certainly be intersting to see how unc ends up in the polls if they finish strong with a conference title game win over #1.  unc had a pretty weak loss to open the year but itd be tough to keep a 1 loss conference champ that just beat #1 out of the playoff.

osu would need some serious help.  i think theyre absolutely 1 of the 4 "best" teams in the country and theyd be dangerous once again in a playoff scenario but thankfully osu is unlikely to make the top 4

It's unlikely but far from impossible. I'm actually picking UNC for the reasons you state. I don't think Clemson is a #1 or NC caliber team and UNC can score with them. A UNC blowout and they're in, IMO. A close win and the committee is going to look at them but they'll juggle osu and Stanford (if they win), too. If 1 & 2 lose osu is absolutely in, IMO. Bama hasn't put this game away I really think the ACC game is a toss-up. Unlikely but absolutely possible. Heck, msu and osu could get in. Until 1 AND 2 win I'll assume the committee will want to give osu a chance to repeat. 2 loss Stanford and a close win ACC Champ UNC won't beat out osu for a spot, IMO. Too big a program that are defending champs and their last showing was a crushing of us, #10-12 UM. If either 1 or 2 lose we need Stanford and/or UNC to win VERY BIG.

This is gonna be pretty ugly.  Of course, it'll be touted as a defensive struggle instead of "Florida sucks on offense and Alabama doesn't need to do much."
