ESPN/ABC release for 2015 studio teams - Mark May is back

Submitted by Leaders And Best on

Reports of Mark May's demise were premature. He has now moved to the ABC studio coverage with John Saunders. The new ESPN Saturday studio trio is Adnan Virk, Danny Kanell, and Joey Galloway. That is terrible. College Football Final will now be hosted by Joe Tessitore, but they have not named any replacements yet for May and Lou Holtz. As reported earlier, Rece Davis now takes over College Gameday replacing Chris Fowler.

Mark May who he is. I don't have a problem with him, he brings something to the table.  I like Danny Kanell, he has good insight on college football.  Joey Galloway is not really my favorite.

I will not miss Lou Holtz and that Dr. Lou crap he had.

I liked Rece calling games and Fowler on Game Day. I'm a fan of Joe Tes too. I'm not so sure I'm going to like all the moving around. I can deal with DK some but Joey Galloway is so bad. It's not an anti OSU bias either. He is just plain awful.

who I think is actually really good. I think he's very good at analysis during games, and like his old school "wrap him up" approach. Herbie is "fine" and Galloway awful. Tesitore do not like either.

I'm sad this year because despite all of May and Holtz' many faults, I enjoyed their and Rece's highlights coverage, and Fowler was my favorite part of Gameday. And since I'm a loser who watches as much College football as humanly possible at the expense of any other activity, actually making sure I'm up and in front of the TV at 9 for Gameday, and watching college football final late night, this is not a good set of changes.

Ot anyone know if the TV schedule has been released for the season yet? I need to figure out if I need to add BTN to my cable package or maybe try btn go or whatever the online streaming is named.

Fowler was a legend of the business, sad to see him move off Gameday. As tacky and at times SEC-loving as ESPN can be, no pregame/studio show in sports is as fun as College Gameday. Rece Davis will be fine I'm sure, but it's disappointing that we're hitting the end of an era.

Joey freaking Galloway! The absolute worst! I will be changing or at least muting the channel during studio updates. On a positive note at least he won't be doing any more games... I truly hate hearing him speak.

I already knew he was being moved to ABC. Thought that was common knowledge. I like Mark. EDIT: This news was definitely announced at least a month back, possibly longer.

I will forever miss (for the humor value) the segment from several years where Lou gave one team a halftime "Pep Talk". I only caught it once, and I couldn't even laugh, because I was so damn confused at what the hell was happening.
