ESPN video of the Michael Ferns-Logan Thompson TD

Submitted by Wisconsin Wolverine on

I know the Ferns-Thompson Event isn't fresh news at this point, but ESPN posted a video of it on Oct. 30 & my MGoSearch didn't turn up any evidence of it already appearing here on the blog.  I think most of you know the story, but if you'd like to see it in action, here we are.  Happy Friday!

Thanks for posting. Even though the story isn't new, Chantel wrote a nice article attached to the video with some good insight and background. I thought of putting up the link myself, but declined because there can also be a bunch of snarky teens here at mgoblog.

Yeah the article is good!  I didn't want to re-hash the story too much because it's already gotten a lot of attention here, but I figured the new video might be cool enough to show off on its own.  I don't start threads very often (my 2nd one now?), so I'm definitely wary of the possible snarks.

But I did manage to embed properly, so there's that anyway.

I had read the story but didn't see the video until now - thanks for sharing it, as it is moving to watch as well as read.

I need to move my desk further away from this crate of Vidalias...really not good for my eyes.

my attendance on the blog is inconsistent at best (in know right...letting a job get in the way of being on this blog!) and I have seen or heard nothing of this before. Can someojne fill me in a bit?

Here's the original MGoBlog thread in which the story was discussed:

And here's a more recent Chantel Jennings article that accompanies the video:

That hole that they cleared for Thompson was absolutely massive. Congrats to all involved for doing something really nice for a kid going through rough times.
