Nice write-up by Chantel Jennings on Omameh's works at Mott. Turns out he's one hell of a tennis player.

Except you won't see this on the front page of ESPN.com with the headline "Michigan Football Player Commits Good Deed"
I hate MSM.
Very true....
If you see someone in an airport with Michigan logos on luggage and they are wearing a pilot uniform come say hello.
I've read about his accomplishments as a student and we have all been witness to his skills on the football field, as I'm sure Manti Te'o can testify. But on top of that he is a great human being. People like Patrick make me proud to be a Michigan alum.
Adams Axiom: The major difference between something that might go wrong and something that can not possibly go wrong is that when a thing that can not possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
The photo accompanying the article says it all. So nice to see a six year old smiling after the events of the last few days. Ironic that her name is Faith.
I've always been proud to be a Michigan Wolverine, but stories like this make me even prouder. This young man will succeed in whatever he chooses to do with his life.
Use an unstrung racket for that big match, Patrick. She deserves to win.

posts. While Patrick is trying to figure out where all the dust came from, Faith will destroy him. That young lady deserves anything good that comes her way.
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
The relationship with Mott is such a great thing that our athletic department does! Great to see ap layer be recognized for participating!
Good luck to Faith (patient he befriended)!
Also- how awesome would it actually be to see Omameh play tennis...
But, more importantly, prayers for Faith!
We're gonna play with toughness, we're gonna be responsible and we're gonna play with toughness. This is Michigan.
Great story about two incredible people
"The goal, the expectation of this program is the Big Ten Championship"
This is great. Patrick is a stand-up guy and the the contributions he and others have made to Mott over the years should be applauded.
Polonium 210 is the new dilithium.
i'm not going to lie and say that didn't bring a little tear to the eyes. it's great hearing about how these guys who are really still kids themselves putting in the time with kids who i'd imagine just want to forget where they are and why for just a little while.
this was a great story about two great people, very nice
Tremendous. It's great to see these stories when much of the "off the field" attention is centered on legal trouble, drug use, academic struggles, etc. You're making us proud Patrick!
"To hell with Notre Dame."
"You're my boy Lloyd!"
This is second time I've seen it mentioned that Moosman put in a boot in his ass to start off this amazing run of service and dedication. I hope he sees these stories too. Always was fond of Moosman.
Faith's mother's blog about her daughter's medical struggles:
Disclaimer: a lot of religious stuff on the blog, if you don't want to see it, don't click on it and don't complain. I'm just being the messenger.
is truly a Michigan Man! I will miss him on Saturday afternoons.
If someone ever invented a low fat vitamin - filled vegetable that tasted like fudge covered Rice Krispies treats - I'd probably eat better
"Some people have a gift to be a quarterback. Some people have a gift to be a speaker. He has a gift with kids. ... There isn't a kid in that hospital that doesn't want to see Patrick when he's there."
Well, I'm a weepy mess (and at work, too). God bless him and all the kids at Mott; that was a fantastic article.
With all the bad pub we have gotten the past few days. This is nice to hear.
