The fact that he's a baller is just a bonus to me he's probably been our best recruiter this year!

Is he throwing that ball 60 yards from one knee?
ESPN stating that he was throwing 80 yards (upright)!

All star competition a couple years ago I'm pretty sure our boy Devin also could heave one 80+ yards. I think a lot of people forget how good of an arm he has and IMO he's the next big thing and will fit nicely in this system. All the boy needs is some snaps.

Why did they say 4 months to national signing day?

I'm gonna guess the video was about 3 and 1/2 months ago.

This is an old clip from the recruiting show from a few months ago. The interview might be recent, but the video is not. It was posted on here a while ago.

I have an honest question.
I don't know a lot about Warren De La Salle's WRs and such, but are Shane's low completion %, and yards a direct result of them, good DB play, poor system, or what? They were raving about his accuracy and such just didn't know if receivers dropped balls left and right, or they played receivers who could really cover.

I do believe we have been thinking similar things, yessir, I do.

It's probably not good DB play (even in the NFL, cover guys are hard to find), but he probably has mediocre WRs.

His Offensive Line was... well, not helpful.

DLS played 3 state finalists in CC, OLSM, and BR. all 3 have D1 talent on defense at multiple grade levels

One of those that's causing heachaches to Shane right now, won't be after him forever. Our own Matt Godin of Catholic Central is one of the guys tormenting Shane currently, so I agree with you, hats off to the talent in the Catholic league.

No more Biggs either.

Question for those in the know or watched some De La Salle games this year: Are their wideouts somewhat lacking? I know Shane has a big arm and is fairly accurate, but according to those stats at the bottom of the page, he only completed 52% of his passes.

....and I couldnt agree more.....this kid should be referred to as "The Senator".
January 13th, 2012 at 11:13 AM ^
You want to think about Tressel every time someone refers to Shane Morris?
January 13th, 2012 at 11:21 AM ^
Has decent receivers but Morris' high rating comes from his performance in camps this past summer. In 7 on 7 camps he was very accurate and I believe his team won a coveted Florida camp. I know his offensive line was not as good as some thought and Morris had to bail out of the pocket and throw on the run a lot. So if WR were not very talented and OL was not blocking well I could see his stats being on the downside. His HS team had a decent year but not great.

Hope he commits here

I wouldn't worry about that too much. When a kid helps the school recruit and calls other recruits on his own, telling them to come to Michigan, I think its usually a pretty good sign. And it's still over a year until his NSD.
January 13th, 2012 at 2:13 PM ^
Are you being serious? Because I'm pretty sure he already committed. Quite a while ago actually. If you mean you hope he signs with Michigan, then I would have to say you have very little to worry about. Shane is about as Blue as one could be.
