No Craig James! Hooray!

Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
November 30th, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
MUST.HAVE.MORE.NESSLER.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:40 PM ^
ESPN: Mike Patrick, Craig James & Jeannine Edwards
Somehow, it's fitting.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
I'm sure all the prostitutes in St. Petersberg appreciate the warning.
November 30th, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
Craig James killed 5 hookers while at SMU.?
November 30th, 2011 at 8:21 PM ^
If he makes it ten while doing this game, I'll start to think that there might be something to this rumor...
November 30th, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^
I think the Tessitore-Gilmore combo is one of the best/most underrated announcer duos in the country, and I can always go for Brad Nessler. Looks good!
November 30th, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
If we get that combo, I hope we're the underdog. They've called almost every big upset this season.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
I really like Nessler, but I strongly disagree about Gilmore. He is consistently unprepared -- mispronouncing player's names, barfing up platitudes that seem like they should be true but very often aren't, etc. Either he does next to no research, or he just isn't very smart.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:16 PM ^
Love that Tessitore is calling games. I love him and Teddy Atlas together on FNF. Any chance Teddy gets the sideline reporter job someday? lol
November 30th, 2011 at 9:22 PM ^
Tessitore kind of sounds like Joe Buck a little bit. But I do enjoy their broadcasts of those mid-week MAC shootouts.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^
Love Nessler and Blackledge. Also, Tessitore is one of the most underrated commentators in the game. He does a great job.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:47 PM ^
He was legendary in that '10 Illinois game.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:44 PM ^
Goodluck to you guys getting into the Sugar. The B1G needs to get back to normal with it being OSU-Michigan and everyone else.
December 1st, 2011 at 10:20 AM ^
good. We needed a little more climb (any for that matter) after beating OSU for it to be a likely scenario. Most like scenario, Capital One or Outback. I would like the Capital One better due to likely opponent, Arkansas (and a general dislike for watching South Carolina football), but would prefer the Trico call and the ABC telecast. So I am torn. Go LSU and Texas, that is our road to the Sugar.
November 30th, 2011 at 6:52 PM ^
Damn Holly Rowe :( Anyone else dissappointed in that one if we actually get the Sugar?
November 30th, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
I prefer Erin Andrews.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
I'm becoming more of a Jenn Brown fan, especially since she was a bikini model and there's plenty of pics floating around.
November 30th, 2011 at 8:01 PM ^
Except EA is the only sideline reporter who adds to a broadcast. Ever, really.
Still, these teams are good news.
December 1st, 2011 at 7:38 AM ^
I'll take Charissa Thompson please.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
I'm sure PurpleStuff will be pleased. He love the moon face.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
Holly Rowe has always reminded me of Artemis from Always Sunny in Philly...
November 30th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
Holly Rowe looks like a frog.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:01 PM ^
i bet everyone is pissed that we struck out on pam ward.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
HOLLY ROWE COME TO PAPA
November 30th, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
Oh, God, they have the Monday Night Football crew handling the Orange Bowl. There is nothing more embarassing in college football broadcasting than people who only know the NFL well calling a bowl game. They don't know the players, they don't know the rule differences, and they start musing about how these crazy offenses would never fly in the NFL. Also, Jon Gruden will say THIS GUY a lot. Really hope Michigan goes Sugar if BCS happens.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
Tirico has extensive college announcing experience and I think does a really good job no matter the sport.
Jaws might be able to give some insight, being a QB and all, but Gruden will just slob all over everyone's knob and make the entire broadcast booth very ... uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, I think Gruden is hilarious and seems like a good dude; I just can't believe some of the jocksniffing that comes out of his mouth at times.
November 30th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
I actually don't think he understands spread concepts, given how I've heard him talk about Tim Tebow. He'll definitely use the phrase "NFL-type throws" at some point.
I do remember when Tirico was a frequent college commentator, and I always liked him back in the late '80s and early '90s. But I don't know if I'll be able listen to this game.
December 1st, 2011 at 7:11 AM ^
Why in the hell would you listent to/watch the Orange Bowl anyway? Can't get enough of the 7-5 Louisville Cardinals?
November 30th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
When was the last time Nessler called a Michigan game? It seems like it's been a while.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
Last year against Penn State, if I remember correctly.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
It was Notre Dame this year, I'm pretty sure.
November 30th, 2011 at 8:10 PM ^
that was Brent musburger and herbie
November 30th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
Musberger & Herbstreit called that one.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:39 PM ^
I will only watch if it's Holly Rowe Hoth Edition.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
I thought Walter Matthau was dead?
November 30th, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
She's ready to set off for Bespen.
November 30th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
Did she perform someone's appendectomy before showing up for the broadcast?
November 30th, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
nessler pisses me off when he comments on blackledge eating a lot. Nessler your fat ! and Blackledge is not ! stfu !
November 30th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
its been weird watching nessler slowly thicken up over the last 10 or so years.
he used to be quite svelte
November 30th, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
Never realized how lucky I was to catch the end of Keith Jackson's career. Him and Bob Griese were the best duo of all-time in my opinion (college football wise).
December 2nd, 2011 at 9:43 AM ^
Jackson, Griese, and Arute was the best trio for games that I ever saw. That was the era before eyecandy (mostly) on the sidelines.
November 30th, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
Blackledge is going to have a field day in New Orleans with his "Taste of the Town." That might be the only thing he talks about.
November 30th, 2011 at 9:51 PM ^
How long has it been since Blackledge was John Saunders partner in studio (aka, the old Jesse Palmer)? Was that late '90s? I also remember Terry Bowden in that role, but I think that was before Blackledge.
November 30th, 2011 at 8:21 PM ^
On taste of the town in New Orleans. That's good tv.
November 30th, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
have announcers that don't completely suck or hate Michigan? This better not be a joke...
November 30th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
Those poor souls who will be stuck a)listening to the game on the radio instead of TV and b)as a result will get McDonough and Millen...
Every time Millen opens his mouth I understand more and more how the Lions went 0-16.
November 30th, 2011 at 9:20 PM ^
But they get McDonough, which is a huge win.
November 30th, 2011 at 9:24 PM ^
What's up with Nessler doing games on the NFL network, has anyone else noticed that?
