"only 3 slots behind sparty"
God that is a depressing thing to be happy about, but be happy we must.

i think this may be the last week we have to trail them

except that sparty is coming of off his best season in years; while UM is coming off of our worst.

Somehow this gets lost to so many people... excellent point.

To be fair, they just converted their FCS opponent to some sort of paste. Given the previous season, there's no reason for them to be ranked behind us.

Little brother will be bowing down to us in a short matter of time.

In voters 1-5 one of them has us ranked 24th, and in voters 6-10 one has us ranked 25th. Hopfully we can go 5-5 in the first 5 weeks to solidify a top 25 ranking.

If the team handles business in the next few weeks, the rankings should take care of themselves.

Interesting enough one of the two guys to have us ranked is Pat Forde in at 25. He bashes Michigan and Rodriguez in almost every column yet ranks us after one week. I will never understand that man

I don't think anyone understands Forde. The guy is special, very, very special.

Sad to say, but the public's apparent obsession with anything negative started creeping into sportscasters and sportswriters several years ago. I almost think the editors refuse to print anything positive. So the writers are almost forced to write negative crap.
However, when they get to vote/rank teams, they can be honest about what they think
