ESPN Power Rankings - M #14

Submitted by xxxxNateDaGreat on

The Worldwide Leader released some power rankings (or preseason fluff, if you will) last week that I somehow missed despite their half dozen emails telling me to check it out. Sorry if this is redundant. (Yes, I checked the board. No, I did not see it.)

Some stuff of note:

- Most "experts" voted michigan between #7-17 with two fools refusing to rank them at all.

- Football Outsiders' average projected win for Michigan is 6(!?!). We... disagree.

- We lose vs. Ohio, says both guys they asked. Hm.

And that's about it, unless you really enjoy gambling.

I have to say thank you all (seriously) for being creative about this. It's much better to see all the pictures and gifs than 20 responses of "l2google" (no matter how right they may be)...

I like seeing everyone pick Ohio to beat M because it will be that much sweeter when we win. Some people forget that Ohio got pretty lucky last season and should have lost at least three games. I don't think they are as great as many people are saying. However, if losing to them means beating them the following week in the conference title game, I'm all for it, assuming we get there that is.

actually cog little or nothing, and that there's a potential two-to-four game variance between what they predict and what happens. Think of that variance as an air pillow that can give you a really good night's sleep.
