ESPN Postulates 3 big changes coming for Wolverines

I'm a believer that the more you see this stuff, the more likely it is to become real.  The court of media is very convincing (Just ask Winston) no matter if it is how it should be or not.  It's one thing to have blogs and sidebar sports sites saying Hoke has a hot seat.  When ESPN starts pushing the "It's a done deal" line things tend to sprial out of control.

MOD EDIT - the entire article plus what was behind the Insider link was posted in here. Let's try to leave some value for the authors themselves, please. - LSA

I agree with Cold War. 4 Turnovers by your starting QB against ND? A bunch of turnovers against Utah. Utah basically lived on our side of the field. Defense did a bang up job keeping the offense reigned in.

People are just too into their feelings now. Give Morris a chance. In the KSU game he didn't throw a pick until force-the-ball-time. withought turnovers and offensive production are games go alot differently.

Seeing as how BBall is killing it, I think DB might be able to keep his job. The only way he gets canned is if we can't sell out any home games. If football becomes less profitable, then yes I'll think he gets canned. It's like the Lions. Millen was a complete moron, but he kept putting butts in seats which is why he lingered so long.

DB wanted to extend his contract before MSC retired, because MSC was a DB supporter.  The Regents allowed this to happen, but inserted a buyout clause.  They are concerned that any high profile coach would not want DB peering over their shoulder, watching game film, in the locker room, etc.  Expect the firing order to be DB, then BH.

Say what you will about Miles, but he would be a marquee hire and a guy who would lend instant credibility to the program. He'd also bring with him a recruiting network in the south. He might not be around for more than 10 years, but as long as he gets the program rolling in the right direction, his hire would be a net positive.

Seems even more likely he comes here given the struggles LSU seems to be facing this year.

I've been all about Miles for some time... But what might be one of the best selling points to him? His coordinators turn into decent Head Coaches... Look back to the Oklahoma State days... His OC? Mike Gundy - the current head coach still there. Putting a program on the field that is consistently better than ours.

Fast forward to LSU...Bo Pelini was the Defensive Coordinator for Les Miles from 2005-07 and is now a Head man... Doug Mallory is a Co-D-Coordinator at Indiana and I believe is an up-and-come-er... Cam Cameron is a name we hear a lot around here... And I think IF Les Miles were to come here, LSU would be stupid not to at least interview Cam for the HC position at LSU... Just food for thought... I love Hoke as a person, he's just a like-able guy and I've heard a lot of second hand stories about him with his in-home visits to Beyer when he was being recruited (also a PCEPer), but this coaching regime seems to just be Miles behind where they need to be...

I'll pitch in and buy him the best grass money can buy if he wins 10+ games the next five years in a row. It's possible he'd do it too since he's competitive in the SEC and the Big Ten let's just say is not as good as that conference.

Even if he were here for 10 years if he could make those 10 years good it may stabilize the program. Maybe we can use that time to learn, adjust, and change to be in sync with the rest of the teams.

Edit: 10+ wins for five seasons in a row is a bit of an exaggeration but I think we would see the best football since 2006 when I first became a student and fan.

Hoke is done. He can't even win at home now. Utah is a mediocre team and the game showed that. But Michigan is worse than mediocre. It's a team that is on par with Rodriguez's  last team.

However, the most damning aspect for Hoke is the the loss of ticket buyers. That is hurts the bottom line. Brandon as CEO will HAVE to act.

Are Hoke and Mattison coaching them, because the whole defense including the line was terrible in 2010.  Those guys didn't really start to shine until 2011.  Also, the secondary couldn't cover anybody and there would be guys running open all game even if Devin was consistently getting flushed from the pocket.

It's very bad form to post the entirity of an Insider article on a forum.  In fact, it's a breach of user agreements.

More importantly, the article contained nothing but the same speculation that we all have with some very non-newsworthy, anonymous quotes.

Third, what is the deal with avatars of half-naked chicks on this forum lately?  Not that I really, care, but I do like looking at the board at work. And it's just kinda douchey.  "Look at my smoking hot gurlfriend hurhurhur"

What's ridiculous is that any of these people actually think others believe that they are with attractive women despite the fact they are losers on internet boards, that those women would tolerate them being losers on internet boards, and even encourage their loserdom by letting their images be used as "avatars" on the stupid internet boards (in some apparent ploy to gain credibility, because, y'know, guy with fake girlfriend has more insights than guy without).

Assuming all those improbable leaps are in fact true, then yes it would be stupid beyond comprehension to use such an image as your "avatar."  But this is the internet.  Filled with liars and malcontents.

But I like to think, while he is a damn proud man to have married his wife, MGrowOld kind of uses his avatar as a bit of a promotional tool.  His signature also links you to his wife's health/fitness website (which honestly has some great recipes).
